Matt Strike returns to Gemstone Records with a brand new release titled ‘I Refuse’ featuring talented vocalist Brandon Rogers. The Milan-based Producer/DJ has continued to dominate the dance scene with his fresh and unique future bass sound which he brings to Hardwell’s imprint. 

‘I Refuse’ begins with Brandon Rogers' soulful vocals and beautiful call-and-response harmonies. Pulsing bass patterns drive the rhythm of the breakdown while vibrant progressive plucks scatter behind the vocal. The track climaxes with spirited electric guitar melodies coupled with energetic wobble chords that ripple throughout the drop. While the second drop continues to highlight the irresistible guitar phrases, Matt Strike spices it up with pitched vocal ad-libs that drive tension and freshen up the mix.

Prince Paris and Castion team up for their debut track on Gemstone Records, ‘Right For Ya.’ Having both previously released multiple chart-topping tracks on Revealed Recordings, the two collaborators seamlessly transition to Gemstone with a pop-infused release powered by percussive instruments and melancholy melodies. 

Right For Ya starts with emotional vocals backed by atmospheric pianos and twinkling plucks. The breakdown progresses into subtle percussive drum hits which lead up to a melodic vocal drop supported by warm plucks, Caribbean inspired drum sequences, and pulsating bass patterns.  

Canadian Prince Paris, formerly part of the duo Paris & Simo, has garnered enormous momentum in just the last year since his rebranding; his recent tracks such as ‘Keep Me Close’ and ‘Come as You Are’ have both reached over a million plays on Spotify. Rising talent REK makes his debut on Gemstone Records with his brand new track ‘The Weekend’ featuring vocals from Viex. Known for his multi-genre productions ranging from Big Room to Future Bass, the Columbian producer/DJ now switches his style once again by composing a pop-leaning track influenced by his Latin American roots. 

‘The Weekend’ begins with an energetic breakdown which accentuates beautiful vocal harmonies and tonal plucks. The track seamlessly transitions to rhythmic percussion hits and pulsating shakers before leading to a drop driven by a vocal-chop melody reinforced by violins and pumping sub-bass. Strummed acoustic guitars initiate the second breakdown while ethereal voice effects subtly play in the background. REK later re-introduces the infectiously catchy pre-chorus and memorable rhythmic drop.  

Hailing from Santiago de Cali, Columbia, REK has already been making big moves in the dance industry. He was recently nominated to the CDA (Colombia Dance Awards) for Best Academy DJ, and was also featured in DJ Mag Latin America for his previous track ‘Kingston.’ REK has had previous releases on labels such as Sirup and Red Lizard Records.
