I wanted to attempt a bit of singing in this song. Went an octave higher than I’m usually inclined to record, but I think it conjures the feelings I wanted to convey. I made the beat top to bottom which is always a good feeling. The first verse, much as in “Don’t Run”, I went with a pretty steady solid rhyme cadence, but wanted to explore a bit more intricate plots in the second. As always, every song is written from the deepest place in my heart and soul.
