The Cuckoo's Nest

This was an improvisation recorded on the island called Njardarlog from old of, later renamed Tysnes which remains the official name until today. The song is dedicated to the goddess Nerthus, who rides once a year among us with her chariot to give fertility to the lands. While she is visiting our lands, all iron and weapons must be kept away for she brings peace. She is said to dwell in the depth of a lake, in the island of Njardarlog is a lake called Vevatnet (sacred water) which is dedicated to her.
We were there at the dawn of the spring, when ice was still covering the mountainside... it was a very strong moment to play the bukkhorn there, as the echoe of the horn was making some of the ice crack and fall, like a symbol of nature ready to awake and break the ice to rise to life again...

The Dragon

This is a piece of meditation music I created for Sacred Nature - Meditations For Health & Healing With The Golden Mean by Philip Carr-Gomm. It was a very different experience recording this piece, and I have to say it was hard to focus as I kept finding myself drifting off into some other place. It's how I knew the music would work for its intended purpose. So I recommend you listen through headphones, in a peaceful place, close your eyes, and dream into the Willow. Enjoy!!
