When I was younger, I've played through a decent portion of Sonic Adventure 2, but never beat it compared to SA1 due to loss of interest. But if there's one thing that I enjoyed no matter what, it's the kickass soundtrack from the fast paced rock to rap to even smooth jazz.

This is a track i actually started on months ago but left on the backburner for ages before feeling like getting back to. when listening to the original song i noticed among the erraticness of the track sine distinct referential cues to a track from sonic battle but it's distorted a little to give it a feeling of things being more hectic and "wrong" befitting a battle with an out of control machine. That hit me as a bit of subtle brilliance with how gemerl turns out to be the very same emerl from sonic battle which then lead me to think of how this battle is secretly kind of tragic wherein you have sonic and an out of control(but this time heavily modified) emerl once again forced to fight eachother. combined with the original track giving me a distinct feeling of madness as if the boss itself is pained and or/being dirven insane I aimed to give this track a bit of a more emotional/regretful feeling touch to it in parts.

One of these bits is in the recorder section which i originally did not plan but after messing around with those intsrument samples recently and having just recently completed Lisa the joyful at the time which led to me having a certain emotional song that effectively used a recorder to give a feeling of tragic reminiscience i became inspired. Though in this case i aimed to use it to give a little bit of that kind of feeling combined with a sense of instability with how this rearrangement suddenly shifts into it.
