Black Hole

Getting ready for the ski season, smack down in the middle of synthwave and some genuine '80s library synth-pop (not really, though - I haven't skied in decades.)

Here I am revisiting my very first synth - the Korg Wavestation. Most of the sounds come from a bank I've been putting together in the course of the past couple of days - probably my first real programming session with this synth since the '90s! 

Works great for this kind of stuff as well, even though it's best known for slowly evolving ambient pads, and probably those cheesy wave-sequencing percussion loops.

The Trail

Also known as Rasco, yet only by close friends, this track features soft dynamic riff lines coming straight out of a Minilogue XD, on a carpet of D-110 (bass and electric piano) and sampled 808.
The soft-jazzy guitar lines and solo, featured in this ensemble of promiscuity, are an elegant courtesy by Guliogero Deckenbacker.
