This episode of Demetria’s Heaters is a heavy one! OCD&B 5th Bday / Sub-Liminal Recordings Tour Promo Mix by BR4VO

Dave Columbo Jenkins is the shiny finished product, the friendly host, the clued up interviewer, the public-facing consummate professional.... 

NODAVE is the greasy, oily engine that powers it all. Revving away behind the scenes 24/7, spuffing out toxic fumes and oil slicks everywhere.   

NODAVE is the part of my brain that keeps me up all night fizzing with ideas. He tells me everything is amazing and everything is shit, often at the same time. He wants to listen to every favourite tune and every exciting new tune he's yet to hear... All at the same time. 

NODAVE wants to do everything right at this minute without even checking if it's safe or practical. NODAVE is the fire that will never go out.

And this is how he sounds musically. 

To celebrate the fact we've hit mix number 50 since launching 1 More Thing officially last June, I've taken on this one myself. The last time I was making mixes and sharing them on forums (via CDs in the post) Soundcloud didn't even exist! 

It's sketchy, hyperactive and very wobbly in various places. I don't sync. I don't mix in key. And quite frankly it shows. But shheeesh I own some absolute bangers!

I hope you enjoy this mix. HUGE LOVE to every DJ who's got involved in this series so far. I have so many more awesome mixes to come. But first, please accept this scatty collection from me. If you like it you can catch me at Balter Festival for the 1 More Thing takeover on Thursday May 25!

Hailing from New York (but spending as much time in the UK scene as she physically can), Alpengeist reps her love for the cross-Atlantic connection in her heavyweight selections. Taking inspiration from creatives including Bladerunner, DJ Limited, Dillinja, Lemon D, and DJ Marky, this guest mix is sure to satisfy your vibes just like a frozen drink would on a hot summer’s day. Named after one of the US’ wildest rollercoasters, Alpengeist lives up to her name, journeying into the dirtiest sounds of Tekky Jungle, 4x4 Bassline, and Jump Up DNB.

DJ Minali is a multi genre DJ based in the south west, who has started making her mark on the Bristol scene this year spinning DnB, Jungle and Techno. With her mixes inspired by artists such as Roni Size, DJ Marky and A.M.C. Expect some heavy doubles and high energy selections. 


Minali made her live debut at Lakota, Tribe of Frog this year and returned this September with a DnB set. Throughout the summer she’s been securing gigs around Bristol, and has plenty more lined up for the autumn and new year. Minali’s next live set will be on 3rd November, Basement 45 with Alchemy Audio for an hour of progressive techno. Stat tuned x
