This is the recording of my DJ set at Berghain on sunday morning 6th of February 2011, between 8 and 12am. Deep respect to Stroboscopic Artefacts for having me as part of the line-up, the Berghain crew for being the perfect hosts and last but not least that massive pack of dancing nutters on the floor (especially the Belgian delegation present for the occasion). Andrew Weatherall (1963-2020) was a highly influential British DJ, producer, and remixer, renowned for his eclectic taste and innovative approach to music. Emerging from the vibrant London music scene in the late 1980s, Weatherall became a pivotal figure in the development of the acid house and electronic music genres. He gained widespread recognition for his remix of the track "Loaded" by Primal Scream, which helped define the sound of the early '90s and contributed to the rise of the Madchester scene.

Weatherall's work was characterized by a unique blend of genres, seamlessly fusing elements of house, techno, rock, and post-punk. His productions often featured a raw, gritty aesthetic, reflecting his deep understanding of both the dancefloor and the underground music culture. As a DJ, he was known for his captivating sets that traversed a wide range of styles, captivating audiences with his ability to create a hypnotic atmosphere.

Beyond his work as a DJ and producer, Weatherall was also a respected label owner and a key figure in the independent music scene. His label, Rotters Golf Club, showcased a diverse array of artists and sounds, further cementing his legacy as a champion of innovative music.

Weatherall's impact on the music world is profound, and his contributions continue to resonate with artists and fans alike. His passing in 2020 was a significant loss to the music community, but his spirit and influence live on through his extensive body of work and the countless artists he inspired. 

As we publish this mix, it serves as a tribute to his enduring legacy and the inerasable mark he left on the world of music. Rest in peace!

Shubin is the name of a mythological spirit that roams the mines. According to some legends, Shubin is a good spirit who protects miners from hazardous gas. According to others, Shubin is a vengeful spirit causing trouble.

This project strives to bring back online DJ mixes that were once available for listening but have since been lost in time. These "Lost Gems" vary in terms of genre with the main focus being put on techno, house, and electro.

Éxpose is the second series of the project, providing a musical platform for both upcoming and established artists whose sound resonates with the project's vision. Currently, the focus is on artists from Bulgaria, with more countries to follow.

Lastly, the project also organizes events aimed at creating a deeper cultural connection for the listener, with a primary focus on the music itself.
