Greetings, everyone!

Shubin started with mixes which for some reason ended up missing from the face of the internet and we bring them back for you to enjoy again.

Today we start a new series of mixes on our channel. Titled "Exposé", these mixes will showcase upcoming and innovative artists from the underground electronic music scene, with our first focus being on Bulgaria. With these series, we would like to contribute to the underground scene and attempt to bring light to artists that deserve it. Our first entry in the series is by Marthen. As one of the co-creators of the channel, Marthen loves to delve deeper and explores a wide variety of electronic sounds. Here he showcases his extensive music palate.

He's been mixing and producing techno since the end of 2017. As a co-organiser at @hardertrax he's had the chance to play at venues like Tell Me, Fabrica 126, Club Nether in Bucharest and others. Now you are about to read our interview with him where we get a deeper insight into what he does with passion.

Шубин започна с миксове, които някак си са се оказали изчезнали от лицето на интернета и ние ги връщаме обратно, за да може всички вие да имате възможността да им се наслаждавате отново.

Днес стартираме нова поредица от миксове в канала на име "Експозѐ". Те ще се фокусират върху иновативни и тепърва прохождащи изпълнители от ъндърграунд електронната сцена като първо започваме с България. С тази поредица се надяваме да допринесем към сцената и да представим различни артисти, които заслужават внимание. Първият микс идва от един от основателите на Shubin. Marthen (Мартин Мартинов) показва своят богат и разнообразен вкус за техно.

Той се занимава с миксиране и продуциране на техно от края на 2017-та година. Част е от организацията @hardertrax и е имал участия в Tell Me, Fabrica 126, Club Nether, Bucharest и други. Следва да прочетете интервюто ни с него, където получаваме по-дълбок поглед над това което прави със страст.

Exposé 02 - VER:TEX

Trigésimo capítulo de Tale of a Sacred Dance creado por el Colombiano Darkduction.

Darkduction es un proyecto que nació a mediados del 2014, comienza su recorrido adentrándose en un mundo lleno de proyectos experimentales y audiovisuales. Inició su carrera desde muy joven a la edad de 15 enfocándose principalmente en forjarse en la producción y composición de la música electrónica, explorando e ingresando a los lugares más recónditos de la música electrónica y encontrando su marca personal entre un estilo Techno muy experimental, Minimalista e Hipnótico. 

Combina la electrónica más fría y sofisticada con el techno más abstracto y complejo, rozando en ocasiones la experimentación sonora con texturas y ritmos poco habituales en la pista de baile y proyectos conceptuales entre la música electrónica experimental y los diversos proyectos de actuación en vivo como “Granular Air Material” un concierto experimental audiovisual que alcanza nuevos niveles de reducción, abstracción y conceptualización. Una extensa incursión en la síntesis, el muestreo y el procesamiento a nivel atómico y su Live en Multicanal Surround.

Destaca gracias a las producciones de su sello, Granular Spectrum en el cual se publican ediciones que documentan trabajos de composición e instalación de artistas sonoros que exploran el arte sonoro y audiovisual, además de centrarse en proyectos musicales avanzados en general, música experimental y Techno

Su música tiene en gran medida raíces muy profundas en lo ancestral, lo mítico y lo sublime alcanzando un sonido que va más allá de los paradigmas tratando de encontrar una conexión directa con quien la oye y sigue su concepto, como dice “Soy una sombra, un ser escondido en la oscuridad que busca una conexión con las almas que habitan este mundo y están ahí para escuchar".

Exposé 04 - Totenmet

Para el segundo capítulo de los Rhythm Control Barcelona Mixes contamos curiosamente de nuevo con otro residente en Oviedo como actualmente es Aiken, aunque es madrileño nacido en León.

La primera vez que supe de él fue en 2011 cuando salió su primer release en formato vinilo en Semántica Records titulado "Mer", del cual me harté a poner el corte "Trust Ourselves". 
Un año después le pedí un remix para la primera referencia de mi sello End Of Dayz y justo en esa época nos conocimos en persona en una fiesta Monkey Bar en el Esferic de Montjuic donde pincharon Jeff Mills, Santiago Salazar y Tama Sumo entre otras.
Un par de años más tarde, en 2014, le publiqué en End Of Dayz el 12" "Hard Times" y ese mismo año fue el primer invitado de la, si no recuerdo mal, primera noche del sello que hice en The Loft (actualmente Human Razzmatazz).
Como artista podemos destacar que ha pinchado en clubs como Tresor, Fuse o Berghain, en eventos como el ADE de Amsterdam y que ha publicado en sellos como Key Vinyl, Symbolism y Non Series. De hecho su disco "The New Beginning" de 2022 en el sello de Psyk ha tenido muy buena acogida (sin duda de lo mejor que ha publicado en mi opinión). Recientemente ha realizado un tour en Colombia y ha estado realizando sets bajo su alias Seventh Corp donde da rienda suelta a sonidos más detroitianos, house de Chicago, etc...
Este año vuelve a publicar en su sello Timeline, parado desde 2018, poniéndolo en marcha con el EP "Mist". Como siempre, podemos esperar techno contundente pero con carga emotiva sin llegar a ser deep, con gran influencia del techno UK y detroit que tanto disfrutó en su juventud en clubes como La Real. 
En sus sets, como es este caso (grabado en directo en La Vaca en Ponferrada la pasada noche de reyes), no se corta en meter cortes que rozan lo experimental sin perder ritmo y punch, cosa que me encanta. Siempre que escucho un set de Aiken hay varios temas de los cuales necesito la ID.

It's time for Exposé 05 and we've invited Daniele Miladinov a.k.a Modern to take us on a deep dive!

Ambitious and ready to continue his musical journey, he stays true to his vision of sound and successfully manages to diffuse his unique brand of energy within any space.
His sound embodies experimental broken grooves, profound and hypnotic elements and reflects his major influences from Spanish techno.
Apart from polishing his musical taste, Modern has also been focusing on the development of the local techno scene since the beginning of his journey.
So far, he has had the opportunity to be invited on the same lineups with artists such as Kwartz, CONCEPTUAL, Freddy K, D-Leria, Quelza, Paula Koski, Annē, Perfo and to play at the well-known Suicide Club in Berlin.
In 2021, Modern joined Friendship collective – a Berlin-based promoter of art and electronic music that organises interactive events and promotes unconventional techno internationally. From this point onwards, his circle of like-minded people has only been growing as well as his motivation.

Освен върху разширяването на музикалния си вкус, Modern се фокусира и върху развитието на местната техно сцена от началото на своето пътуване.

The Envelopers next release on Loading Systems Records in 2025 is a modern peak time techno weapon that thrives on pure tension and drive. From the very first beat, the track builds with rising suspense, layering hypnotic elements over a relentless groove.

Shubin is the name of a mythological spirit that roams the mines. According to some legends, Shubin is a good spirit who protects miners from hazardous gas. According to others, Shubin is a vengeful spirit causing trouble.

This project strives to bring back online DJ mixes that were once available for listening but have since been lost in time. These "Lost Gems" vary in terms of genre with the main focus being put on techno, house, and electro.

Éxpose is the second series of the project, providing a musical platform for both upcoming and established artists whose sound resonates with the project's vision. Currently, the focus is on artists from Bulgaria, with more countries to follow.

Lastly, the project also organizes events aimed at creating a deeper cultural connection for the listener, with a primary focus on the music itself.
