Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the Belgian dj & producer Derlich (Zhark Recordings).

Derlich began to experiment with sound manipulation back in 2006, where upon an unrealised desire to create a certain feeling and aesthetic left him unsatisfied with his initial work.
After years of experimentation, natural progression lead him towards the darker and more extreme sides of music. 
His passion for art, derelict landscapes, and abandoned locations feeds the inspiration to work in this shadowy area of electronic music. 
Utilising elements of abstract noise, techno, and Industrialism, Derlich's music is deep, dark and hypnotic experimentalism at its very best.
In a live environment, Derlich uses a combination of DJ and Live PA elements to create a brutal and hypnotic wall of texture and sound.
We're thrilled to host this great set today traversing his diverse sound.

Spanish producer Larsson delivers a deep and hypnotic 4-tracker for Fuxbau Records, marking his vinyl debut on the label. Written in the rural village where Larsson grew up, the EP carries a sense of groundedness and clarity. Created in his parents' home, surrounded by nature and far from urban distraction, the tracks reflect a setting where ideas unfold organically. The result is a tightly cut selection of groovy, rolling techno - stripped back, hypnotic, and full of tension. That contrast between calm surroundings and high-impact club energy runs through all four tracks: stripped-back yet detailed, functional yet full of soul.

PREMIERE: SLKTR - MAQUINA DE GLITCH EL DOMINGO [R7M040]

Benjamin Mull was seduced by the dark sounds of techno since an early age. Infuenced and surrounded by the nineties techno hero's such as his older brother Joel Mull and Cari Lekebusch there was no doubt he was going to follow the same path, creating his own sound. His sets reminds of a stripped-down dance foor minimalism combined with a hypnotic deep and a heavy groove that directed much of techno’s path throughout the late nineties. With upcoming releases on Krill Music and Parabel, Benjamin is for sure one of Sweden's latest talents to look out for.

1/ Who are you? What do you do?
I have been playing record for the last 20 years, I have a radio show called Deep Space Helsinki that I have been doing with my dear friend, Samuli Kemppi, for over 10 years now. We also expanded to a record label of the same name in 2012 and did a couple of vinyl releases but it's been on a hiatus for while. I have also produced music for labels such as Semantica, MindTrip, Reclaim Your City and provided remixes to other labels as well. I have had residencies at Helsinki's Kaiku Club, Kuudes Linja (where we used to organize Deep Space Helsinki parties between 2011-2016) and Ääniwalli but since my move to Berlin in 2016 I've had to give them up, unfortunately. I also share label duties with my friend, Ville Vähäsaari, for our label, No Future But What We Make, but we've only put out one record since we established the label, so things are running pretty slow. Other than that, I am a pretty easy-going guy.

2/ If you were a movie character, who would you like to be?
Godzilla, very randomly.

3/ If music didn't exist, what job would you like to do?

4/ The naughty / improbable anecdote during a gig?
I was kicked out of my own gig once, for selling my free drinks to the customers. There was this shitty bar I was playing with a couple of older guys right when I had started playing records. We got pretty hammered and then these customers kept mistaking the DJ booth for the bar so I thought: "Fuck it, let's get these idiots their drinks and overcharge them". That didn't go too well with the bar management and I was relieved of my duties and got banned from the bar.

Shubin is the name of a mythological spirit that roams the mines. According to some legends, Shubin is a good spirit who protects miners from hazardous gas. According to others, Shubin is a vengeful spirit causing trouble.

This project strives to bring back online DJ mixes that were once available for listening but have since been lost in time. These "Lost Gems" vary in terms of genre with the main focus being put on techno, house, and electro.

Éxpose is the second series of the project, providing a musical platform for both upcoming and established artists whose sound resonates with the project's vision. Currently, the focus is on artists from Bulgaria, with more countries to follow.

Lastly, the project also organizes events aimed at creating a deeper cultural connection for the listener, with a primary focus on the music itself.
