Cali is a rebel with a cause worth of applause. Using his music to express himself as well as enlighten those who are willing to listen. Killa Cali, was born in CA and lived in Lakewood for his short period in the Golden State. That’s where a lot of his influence stems from, but he is inspired by all forms of music. Some big names include Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana, Tupac, Immortal Technique, ICP, and many more from hard rock to hiphop. He feels that real hip hop comes from the heart and the life you’ve experienced. RAP= Retards Attempting Poetry aka mainstream fake gangsters that feed off trendy waves instead of being true. He speaks on the government, the state that hip hop is in right now, and other real life stories; but also has no problem being fun and carefree. His image of The Ghetto Nerd is a reflection of himself and how he's able to go from songs as rugged as Pinky & the Brain, or Main Attraction. To super bar balanced nerdy phrasing in songs like the Champions Cypher or Arkham Bars. His first official release was Random Thoughts EP 4/20/15 but he has been hard at work playing the cards life dealt him. Between his struggles as a teen to his now 3 kids and wife that he cares for are all just hurdles in his path to success.. Its taken awhile but The Ghetto Nerd was released on 4/20/18 on top of that he has finally released his debut album. Rise of the Rebel Clown as of 4/20/21 to all major platforms. Do yourself a favor and give him a listen. He has a song for just about any mood or vibe and is always down to get constructive criticism or network/collab with like minded creatives.
