Returning for its third installment since 2013, Desert Dwellers’ ‘Night Visions 3‘ delves into Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe’s ever-changing interpretation of global music through eight re-imaginings from the electronic underworld. Featuring remixes of original compositions by Hibernation, Poranguí, Uone & Western, Bluetech, Perfect Stranger, Gaudi, and Banco de Gaia, the collection combines the essence of tribal tech, deep bass, progressive techno, and psychedelic dub into a quintessential journey in Desert Dwellers’ iconic style. With the included tracks equally fit for the energy of a desert dance floor as for calming space of a chill-out stage, ‘Night Visions 3‘ draws upon the duo’s long history of production and performance and offers listeners a doorway to a realm where the boundaries between genres disappear.

Shankara launch their sophomore return to the Shanti Planti space station to broadcast their new release; Transmission. Radiating other-worldly signals from the limbo of space, Transmission assumes the state of weightlessness in the vast vacuum between worlds—severing the tether to terrestrial boundaries as sound-waves emerge through the dark matter, gyrating in and out of perception. 

Coded with sub-frequency and apparitions of psychedelia, Transmission is rooted in earthly dub cadence while it’s tendrils reach towards the borders of territories unknown. Abakus is the artist project of music producer Russ Davies, who also releases nudisco-electro under the Cinnamon Chasers alias, and progressive rock/ambient with his father Dave Davies (founder of 60s cult act The Kinks) as The Aschere Project. 

This release is the first in a series of exclusive new reworked versions of classic Abakus tracks which he has been spinning at live sets around the world this year.
