We are finally moving into warmer and happier summer times which is exactly the direction that ANII went on her ANIITIME 8. The first track 'Blue Swans' is a story of two broken hearts while the second track 'Insomnia' is a bit deeper but pure melodic which is what ANII stands the most for.

ANII-Blue Swans (A story of two broken harts)

A while ago, Francesco (Soma Soul) had the chance to visit Canada. He loves to get inspired by cold, rural areas and landscapes. So he  felt like exploring and found that magic place after driving almost 300 kilometers from Banff to Jesper National Park: an amazingly beautiful area. Even though the roads were covered, he got off the car and walked further - and finally was rewarded with a wonderful view of a lake and a waterfall - the Athabasca River!
It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and forests - and Francesco immediately knew that he wanted to capture this moment and honor it with a hint on one of his next EPs. 
It seems like that spark of inspiration lasted until he was back in Switzerland: “back home, I tweaked my prophet6 buttons and created this moving bassline, layered it with the same sound in the higher key and was really happy with how it sounded as he wanted to (re-)create these acoustics or feelings between the mountains of reverberation”.
When Francesco sent the idea to his musical soulmate Ed Begley, he knew that he would be a perfect fit for this one.

First time Lehar was listening to the original version he felt touched by the lyrics and the beautiful voice of the singer.

Italian duo Undercatt immediately fell in love with the original vocal, inspiring, melancholic, the right vibe they usually like to work with. “We did our best to follow it, creating the right atmosphere, a story that builds up to the climax as a sequence of emotions and then comes back, bringing you back to the original status. We imagine the people listening to this on a car trip wandering around, or as an effective closing track for an emotional dj set."

Fayer’s 16th release will be out next 21st May.

Opening up the month of September in style, Astral Records presents the first installment of their Celestial' series. These VA collections will stretch across the globe searching out the finest untapped talent along with industry veterans. With a concise approach the label explores a full spectrum of melodic house and techno, with an emphasis on the astral qualities that has made the genre appealing to many. Wrapped up in this five-track journey is a veritable smorgasbord of beats and melodies that are sure to delight the senses. Hailing from Spain and providing the first selection is Asonante. His dark atmospheric sound has found a home on Infinite Depth and WOOD, the latter of which has been his primary home since making his debut in 2018. Now adding Astral Records to his portfolio, Asonante makes his first appearance on Greek imprint with Volcano'. Punchy beats and machine gun rhythms sit at the heart of the piece, as devilish electronics slowly encase the framework. Continuing to build following the first of two breaks, hypnotic arps gently rise amidst ominous overlays, before the second break pushes tension skywards as the beats drop following a billowing stab.

Naeiiv has been sending us music to play and for Siamese since a while. When we liked one demo we wanted to sign, the track has already been promised to another label and we had to let it go unfortunately. We appreciated his honest and loyal stand towards this topic and agreed to work on a full EP for the label. Here it is, we couldn’t be more satisfied with the result; a sound-concept EP with high recognition value. 

The title track 'Where Did It All Go Wrong?' could easily become a future classic in the hypnotic-melodic realm of modern dance music. We had the chance to play and listen to this wonderful song 4000m above ground under the sun and among the beauty of the swiss alps. The score for this cinematic setting was absolutely perfect. 

While the eponymic title track comes in smoothly and builds up across the whole duration, 'Tausend Momente' gets there a bit faster if not rougher. The spoken words about losing yourself in almost too many moments to remember and the roaring synths created an addictive and irresistible vibe.

With 'Zukunft und Vergangenheit' and 'Exit the Complex' Naeiiv is showing us his calmer and more serene side. We recently recorded an 'art.set' for ARTE Concert where the latter fit perfectly for one of the many tempo changes we included in our set.

All in all a beautifully crafted release that works track by track but especially as a harmonious whole.
