We are finally moving into warmer and happier summer times which is exactly the direction that ANII went on her ANIITIME 8. The first track 'Blue Swans' is a story of two broken hearts while the second track 'Insomnia' is a bit deeper but pure melodic which is what ANII stands the most for.

Whist at the time of writing, the format of this years Amsterdam Dance Event is still being decided, one thing is certain, the music and spirt of the festival is stronger than ever!
 
ADE connects a global electronic music community which is reflected this in our 2021 sampler, bringing together homegrown Dutch talent alongside artists from Europe, South America, and The Middle East.
 
The full melodic spectrum is represented, from deep progressive beats and emotional vocals to the tougher kicks and astral synths found at the darker end of melodic techno. 
 
7 new artists join the sequence family as part of the sampler, and we welcome back Zieze for his second outing on the label.

'Polyptych are delighted to welcome again American electronic project Darenosa.

Darenosa is the electronic music project of David Lopez de Arenosa, from Los Angeles, CA. What started out as a bedroom music experiment with a guitar and a looper, has evolved over time into a dark and infectious dance music project with a live band that has shaken up dance floors from San Diego to LA, and even Burning Man and beyond. 
After the successful release of EP 'Permission to Speak' on Polyptych last year, Darenosa returns to us with a new single 'In My Control'. The track's immersive atmosphere and mesmerizing harmonies are intertwined with the unforgettable vocals of the lead singer of the project David Lopez de Arenosa, and reinforced with the crunch of analog synthesizers and a live drum part. 

The release is supported by a remix from the artist of such famous labels as Spinnin, Glasgow Underground, and others - Dennis De Laat. Have a nice journey.'

Naeiiv has been sending us music to play and for Siamese since a while. When we liked one demo we wanted to sign, the track has already been promised to another label and we had to let it go unfortunately. We appreciated his honest and loyal stand towards this topic and agreed to work on a full EP for the label. Here it is, we couldn’t be more satisfied with the result; a sound-concept EP with high recognition value. 

The title track 'Where Did It All Go Wrong?' could easily become a future classic in the hypnotic-melodic realm of modern dance music. We had the chance to play and listen to this wonderful song 4000m above ground under the sun and among the beauty of the swiss alps. The score for this cinematic setting was absolutely perfect. 

While the eponymic title track comes in smoothly and builds up across the whole duration, 'Tausend Momente' gets there a bit faster if not rougher. The spoken words about losing yourself in almost too many moments to remember and the roaring synths created an addictive and irresistible vibe.

With 'Zukunft und Vergangenheit' and 'Exit the Complex' Naeiiv is showing us his calmer and more serene side. We recently recorded an 'art.set' for ARTE Concert where the latter fit perfectly for one of the many tempo changes we included in our set.

All in all a beautifully crafted release that works track by track but especially as a harmonious whole.

It’s Showcase time, six slabs of mighty fine dancefloor tuneage with which to ring out the old and ring in the new. The Phenomenal 15th is a Selador Fam Special, as we are delighted to be welcoming back half a dozen old friends to the label.

One of the most prolific Afro-influenced producers on the scene, Darksidevinyl is back for his third time on the label since Boohe first blew up off Showcase 11 in 2020. Internal Jungle sets a high benchmark for this Showcase, a brooding beauty with driving percussion and more hooks than a fisherman’s tackle shop.

Melbourne’s rising star Sam Hopgood makes a quick return after wowing us on 2021’s Showcase 14 with the infectious Waiting. The lush atmospherics of new cut Trust will only elevate Sam’s status even further, a breathy vocal sample weaving in and out of intense chiming synths.

Martin HERRS’ Afro Houser Impala shone brightly on last year’s Showcase 12, becoming one of our best sellers of 2021. Now firmly ensconced in the electronic elite, Visual Provocation sees Martin channel the vibe of early 80s electronic pioneers through a 2022 filter – deep & dark, just how we like it.

Oz electronica deity Jamie Stevens then makes an even quicker return to the label. Fresh from his chart topping collab wih Anthony Pappa, solo cut Fool Me Once is a gorgeous slice of machine soul, achieving the rare feat of being hypnotic, ethereal and funky all at the same time. Classy. 

The trio of Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic are a production team who have consistently proved themselves over recent times, as evidenced on 2020’s Selador outing, Dangerous. They now return with Lonely,  a no-nonsense heads down monster that throbs like a cartoon thumb, with a distinctive vocal hook likely to take up permanent residence in your head.

St Petersburg’s Blaktone also make an overdue reappearance at Selador HQ to round things off perfectly. Past releases Saw Mantra and Under My Skin remain much loved catalogue nuggets, and The New Message will undoubtedly join them, a masterclass in squelching nu-acid set to rock peak time floors.

Now that’s how to start the new year in style.

Fur Coat’s Oddity label starts 2021 with a fresh edition of the acclaimed various artists “Odd Echoes Vol.4”. This instalment showcases some artists that are already known to the label, as well as many new additions to the family.

Fur Coat’s commitment to their label over the last few years has seen the imprint amass a dedicated following and an ever growing list of respected and lauded releases. Utilising their Various Artists compilations, the duo have unearthed some extremely exciting talent in this world and given emerging artists a platform to exhibit their craft.

Diving into the package we are greeted with the melodic and emotional sounds that Oddity has their recognisable stamp. Its clear though that each artist involved has developed their own signature sound and presents something unique to the VA. The first half is formed of well crafted tracks which ease us into the sound. Tracks the build and develop over time and help to kick start out musical exploration.

In true Oddity style the second half of the package leans towards darker and more driving pieces. Casting the listeners mind to the dancefloors which the tracks were meant to be played on. Its a VA formed of 21 original tracks mostly from first timers on the label, that all together solidify the identity of the series and sound of Oddity.
