This song was written while I was going through cancer treatments. It's a song about my faith and the love of my spouse who I leaned on every day.

Your Love's Gotta Hold On Me

Jussi and Natasha arrived at the studio first and were just setting up when Jussi started playing the intro to "Lipstick and Ash " and Natasha began to fill out the strings.

By the time the rest of the band arrived the idea was pretty well formed and the song, cinematic post rock, is unusual as the drums and bass only feature for 8 bars, the rest being strings and guitar.
