𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗘𝗥𝗘 | Maude Vôs - Theta Fugue (Prieste5s Remix) [DEL025]

Built the idea around the main melody loop, from there I filled in the gaps with some chops, rearranged a whole lot and got tucked into a few FXs, Then decided to find some vocals to help things move along a bit. Really enjoyed mixing this one. Still haven't figured the right way to automate fX's individually, but it will come. Still trying to learn the mix down process. Haven't even bothered with mastering as of yet. Just keen to get the ideas down, and learn from tweaking around. I must say, I did learn a lot with this track.

Between Xmas and New Years I was going through some photos with my friends about the crazy parties and festivals we ve been together. Good times, probably my body didn't like it as much as I did but we are still around so all is good. All the memories made me realise how I miss the clublife we had about 10 years ago, tracks played in clubs weren’t written by an entire songwriter armada with a carefully designed multichannel release plan. DJs just bounced their project and played in their set the same night. Huge emotional breaks, not too perfect but great melodies, no real agenda behind so it made everyone fall in love with house music. It worked so much that the music industry turned upside down in a couple of years. Clubs can no longer afford big DJs only festivals can, there aren't 2-3 hours sets with sweaty DJs drinking and having fun, only 50-60 mins prerecorded sets to go perfectly with the sick visuals (and everyone is sober now). Great to see how Electronic Dance Music has grown up and changed. I just had to give one last go to the early days’ vibe with this track. No agenda, no plan, no perfection, just house music! xx

I had made this and recorded my friend Swaresh, a singer from New Delhi last year. Although we planned to release it after a while and he has a version ready with him which he re-recorded, but this is what we recorded and made in just one day in his studio that day, so it has a lot of value to me and I wanted to share this anyway here. Hope you like it.
