The Aaron Space Cosmic Orchestra - Eemie (Live)

After finding out this was Pauline's first session she brought up an idea she had made before coming over as something to start with. She had already written this song from her perspective talking about being nervous about a significant other and what they were doing behind her back.

We started in the afternoon and wrote out the entire first half of the song together - we stopped to get poké and came back to write the second half. I thought it could be cool to write the second half from the other perspective. Pauline suggested I sing the second half to bring that idea to life even more to which I definitely said no, but after a bit of convincing and Pauline telling me I sounded somewhat like Eden I said fuck it and started recording.

By 3am the song had been finished, front to back in just over 12 hours.

The contrast between both vocals and combining them to resolve the story as a duet makes this song special. I remember both of us listening to it multiple times a day after it was finished and both being ecstatic about it.

Pauline is such an incredible singer/songwriter but also producer - She's the majority of the reason I even sound half decent while singing and tons of other changes throughout the song that made it feel right. We we're swapping off my PC multiple times an hour going back and forth when either of us had an idea to add. We almost ended up losing the project at one point and named an audio channel "FLUT THIG" that ended up becoming the first name of the demo and the inside joke between the two of us.

Thank you for being a part of this EP and helping create a song that I will stand by forever. FLUT THIGGGGGGGG

Here is my set from Enchanted Forest Gathering 2018! I can honestly say it was one of the best times I’ve ever had, playing for a packed dance floor at 2am on Friday night, right before Antennae and with my girls up on stage with me and everyone dancing so hard! I pulled out all the stops on this one and felt like everyone was right there with me, ready to explode with every drop!

Late last year I had the pleasure of remixing one of my favourite bands Formidable Vegetable - these guys freakin’ rule! This is definitely one of the coolest songs I’ve ever remixed, the lyrics are dope (“Don’t let the straight and formal / Tell you that you’re not normal” 👌🏼), the stems are amazing, AND there’s a kazoo solo… What more could you want?
