We are a rock n roll band from Old Bridge New Jersey and we play loud!

The Nolas are an alternative rock band from Montreal, Canada formed in 2013. Explosive guitar riffs, catchy melodies and groovy drum beats make The Nolas distinctive and appealing to their fans. Having excited audiences in both Quebec and Ontario, their music has been described as “Power Pop Rock” and “Surf Rock” evoking a “Tarantino-esque” style.

Gary and I have been performing together since we met in Gatlinburg, TN in 1994. I guess you could say we've had plenty of practice! From the very start, our harmonies just fit like a glove and our life experiences and travels, before and together, feed us the inspiration for our music.  Our style embraces the folk rock music from the past, obviously reflecting hints of Neil Young, Cat Stevens, The Beatles, Eagles, Bonnie Raitt... blues to swing...you get the idea...while infusing our own distinct, imprint through our lyrics and melodies. You hear exactly who we are as we keep our music close...that meaning, all you will  hear is Gary's guitar (mostly 12-string) and our vocals along with my added, assorted percussion.  Our vocals and instruments are a complimentary blend, neither overpowering the other.  Hope you enjoy our music and comments are always welcome!
