Hello Again... I hope all is well with you... 

Trying to find inspiration to write a song can be challenging... most recently I did not have the inspiration to complete any of my unfinished projects... or to write anything new.... 

When that happens I look to others for advice or a sort of tagline to find the inspiration to be creative and write something... I like to call this form of writing a "challenge" or 'challenge writing'
Especially when I'm stuck however over the last couple of weeks that was not the case...

This challenge was given to me by a friend and fellow songwriter Sam... of course with V-day coming up... he wanted a love song... and he's talented at writing those... so I asked "what's my tag?" and he said "perfection and how it relates to your life!" Immediately I told myself it definitely will not be a love song...

In thinking about perfection and the desire to be perfect... personally I feel the only thing perfect in this world is planet earth and how it sustains life... versus other planets... but I did not want to write a song entirely about that... I also feel perfection has to do with belief... 

Since I have grown spiritually.... the discipline I gained from that may come off as "wanting to be perfect" But in reality.... growth & knowledge is power; sometimes the confidence behind that also comes off as "trying to be perfect!" 

Regardless of that... as humans I do believe we are supposed to strive for perfection... So to thine own self be true! I hope you enjoy this one... and Sam I hope this challenge was a success!

I am already working on my next challenge... it's from my friend Jennifer... who was like "you know what time of year it is! I want a love song!" (valentines day)... so she tagged me to write about these three words... "Long, Live, Love" we'll see what I come up with... I'm already writing it... and I'll try to compete it by V-day!... maybe?...
