It's not often we have a Mix of the Day on a weekend, but when we do they really are something special! German DJ/producer Matthias Meyer proves just that today, offering up an hour of smooth house and techno blends.

Now a staple of Hamburg label Liebe*Detail, Meyer saw his debut release through the label back in 2006. Since then, he's developed a much-loved signature style, building up a long list of requests for original tracks and remixes.

On October 4th, Meyer will show off his skills behind the wheels of steel, as new London promoters We Concur team up with Secret Garden Party's Temple of Boom hosts Avant Garde, for an night of the very best in underground dance at Corsica Studios. Alongside Meyer, Matthew Dekay, Baikal, Maeve boss The Drifter and We Concur resident Qash will all take to the booth.

All our focus is on Nutek Records' very own producer Roy E. a.k.a. PAINKILLER who's joining us for a talk about all things leading to Deep Future and else, crowned by his special radiOzora mix.Tune in @ 8pm CET on the Trance channel.

Roy E. (aka Painkiller) started his musician career at a young age learning to play Piano and classical music. Later on he started to play the drums and preformed with his Rock band for few years. In the mid 90's Roy got connected to the Electronic music and a short while after he started to create and
program his first electronic sounds and beats.
His first album was released in January 2007 on Nutek Records - "Brainwash". Painkiller was touring the world intensely at that time celebrating his debut album.
The second album came a year later 2008 "License to Heal", the third one in 2010 "Duty Freak" and the forth in 2011 "Painkiller & Friends".
Since 2012 till 2015 Painkiller kept his special color and released few eps like "Diverse Species", "the loop", "Sunscreen", "Along the way", and very special single called "Tangosh".
Roy (aka Painkiller) have another project with Yonatan (aka Bliss) under the name A-Team. They have released 2 albums, a compilation and few ep's mainly on Nutek Records. Today, Painkiller just released his new album "Deep Future", after working on it for over a year. This is the biggest, longest and most colorful album so far, including 11 tracks and a big variety of electronic beats. You may find influences from drum n bass, dubstep, chillout, tango and classical music.

After much success of Darko Esser's Tripeo alias and label, he has decided to launch a new series to focus on
the beauty of the artistic collaboration. For his first release he invites Jeroen Snik working under his more
techno-centric alias Cadans, who is most well known for his Drum & Bass work as Icicle.
The moment 'Schmutz #1' unfolds, you can already tell there are two masterminds at work. The complexity of
the stormy unfiltered pads that ebb and flow throughout the track integrate genially with the jogging baseline.
Rather while 'Schmutz #2' takes a turn into a deeper atmosphere with dub-influenced chords, climbing slowly
into scurrying percussions. 'Schmutz #3' may parallel to a techno carroll of the bells which mixes with a
smooth, calming and ambient reverie.

Sufi’s Life is an Ambient / Dub Psy Chillout project created by Jovan Tot.
Jovan had an interest in electronic music since the early days, he began his career in 2000 as a techno D.J. but after a few years finds himself in psytrance and ambient music. 10 years later with his best friend Ivan Jovicic create very successful psytrance project Middle Mode which is active today. During the work on Middle Mode Jovan met Slobodan Gaćeša Aka Vertex and a common passion for the slower bits are transformed into projects Merlin & Sufi’s Life.1st Release happened in 2013 on Uxmal Rec, The project is created only with one purpose to rise up vibration of light and love,to bring joy and happines and to bring you in deeper inside journey.

This past weekend I had the great pleasure to play the closing set for a wonderful crew of people getting started in the event space here in New York City.

It'd been a busy, sleep deprived week of holiday shenanigans and we were hosting some dear friends in town from Dubai and Montreal so preparing for the set felt a bit more rushed than usual.

Arriving to a packed house with friendly people showing off an open and creative spirit was a welcome bit of zen to help me get into the groove.

It was also a friend's birthday so the combination of holiday and birthday vibes was 💪!!!

Coco Poco Loco is an Australian festival theme camp institution. Their Thursday night Pink Party at Rainbow Serpent has become the unofficial opening of RSF proceedings and I was absolutely thrilled  to be invited to play on the Coco Poco Loco Motive. My CPL debut played to a solid crowd of friends and strangers, people in every imaginable shade of pink getting down as Rainbow takes off for another year.
