In 2016, during the Siddhartha Festival in Bodhgaya, India, where the Buddha attained enlightenment, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche gave a teaching on “Buddha”. In addition to referencing the historical Buddha, Rinpoche also shared why the ultimate refuge object is our innate buddha—the basic goodness of the human being—and how, by recalling the external Buddha, we can  remember this innate buddha within ourselves.
