Fred Baker has once again produced a fierce electro house track with ‘Jump’ that makes it impossible to not dance. The remixes on this release are both completely different. Manuel Le Saux has transformed ‘Jump’ into an equally fierce trancer, while LCK created an upbeat progressive house version. Certainly a package with something for everyone.
 
Belgian Fred Baker’s motivation has always been adding a ‘new wrinkle to dance music’s vibrant fabric’ with his sound and productions. This major producer and DJ applies his ‘less is more’ ethos to all his production creating music that carries his signature sound. Fred’s break through came in 1996 when he released the trance anthem Y-Traxx – Mystery Land together with Laurent David and TC Process, which became huge in the summer of 1996 and was re-released and remixed multiple times. These days Fred Baker is one of the big names in the EDM scene with his banging productions.

Gearbox has become one of the most surprising success stories within the hard dance world over the past few years after starting life as a weekly radio podcast, broadcasting to no more than 20 people each week. Gearbox also went on to host events that have seen names such as DJ Thera, Geck-o, A*S*Y*S, Fausto, Phil York, plus many others travel to the north of Scotland. Then there was the beginning of Gearbox Digital, the label which is now being regarded as one of the most exciting new labels for Raw Hardstyle and the label which won Hard Dance Label of the Year at this year’s Hard Dance Music Awards. 
Label owner, Desudo, has always believed that this success was going to culminate in something special, and with the release of this brand new double CD album, it has done just that! 
Mechanical Warfare tells the story of the battle raging between Hard Dance and Hardstyle, every artist a soldier who has been paired with a machine counterpart, in order to fight for their genre’s success.

Mixed by Splinta and the vocals provided by Rebecca Purse, each transition tells the story of the war as it continues by introducing each artist and their mission objective before each track begins. We firmly believe that this album is one of the best Hardstyle album of recent times and possibly the best ever Hard Dance album to be on offer. This night is a showcase of all but a few of the Hardstyle artists who have produced tracks for the album, plus the special guest headliner, Crypsis.

Mechanical Warfare includes 15 original Hardstyle tracks and 13 Hard Dance tracks, covering the full spectrum of Hard Dance and Hardstyle. If you are searching for dark and hard music of the calibre that has been setting crowds worldwide alight, then look no further than Side E-Fect. Hailing from the UK, in particular the South West, which in itself has spawned many a DJ and producer of the the darker, harder styles, Side E-Fect's distinct sound has had a massive impact internationally.
