transient bones – 

burn

			and ashes
			
			seep through

			the floor – 




linger

and burn –

Bones before me – 
dried wooden corpse
the once majestic 
rosewood – 

but – 

sound is alive
and springs forth
with joy – 

ashen – 

burn

An excerpt of my work for oboe soloist and orchestra.  The oboe soloist part is amplified and at various points ring-modulated in real-time by an AudioMulch patch.

Land of Cruelty [sections E to I]

Sideband is a contemporary music collective founded by composers Peter McNamara, Brad Gill and Tristan Coelho.  The aim of the group is to develop and support the music of young and established Australian composers and composers with a strong Australian affiliation. Sideband have, and continue to collaborate with a close circle of outstanding local and international performers including Alicia Crossley, Claire Edwardes, Brad Gill, Nicole Thomson, Ben Carey, Kerry Yong, Jane Duncan, Julia Ryder and Anthony Clarke.

In 2014 the group released its debut CD and presented workshops and concerts with Sydney Conservatorium students and guest performers. Sideband is currently planning their second CD with new compositions currently in development as well as projects for 2015 and beyond.
