Knot's passion for music comes from an early age although electronic music got into his life when he moved to London in 2007. Clubs like Fabric, Cable, Crucifix Lane or Corsica Studios were the ones that really influenced his perception of techno and ideal event organization. Initially he decided to join some projects as a promoter in order to support the music he loved. This turned to be not enough and Side Efex was finally founded in 2014 as part of a plan made up by a group of like minded talents. Since then, Knot has been regularly on at many well-known clubs like The Egg London, Club 414, Shelter Club, Rhythm Factory, Lumiere and Castle to name a few. Also during this period he had the chance to play alongside great artists like Chris Liberator, Mike Humphries, Dave the Drummer, Chicago Loop, Maxx, Cromlab, Robert Johnstone, Xcire, Burjois, Elek-fun, Zentral, Labnote, Acid Tension, Alvaro Ponce and many more.

Shadow People Podcast #025 KNOT

Anders Hellberg grew up in the south of Sweden and started producing music at the age of 17 although he is currently based in Berlin where he's got his home and studio. 

He plays live-sets with hardware only and his tracks are deep, atmospheric, bass heavy with a droning landscapes and driven intensity. He loves to work with analogue gear such as modular synths and drum-machines to reach that crispy sound and have a creative work flow. Inspiration comes from all directions such as movies, parties, early days, friends, vinyls and machines. 

Anders has released tracks on labels like Arts, Sonntag morgen, Animal farm, Wunderblock and Discrete Data. He is also a part of a duo called Chain that has releases on Planet Rhythm, Nachtstrom schallplatten and Sample & Hold.

Avoid aka Vladimir Aćić is one of the best known DJ and producer in Serbia and the Balkans. His DJ's sets are explosive and energetic as you will be able to appreciate on this special mix. In addition to the above, he is also working as a DJing professor at the "Cultural Shelter" music school in Novi Sad.

SIDE EFEX PODCAST 021 _ Avoid

It all started in 2007 when he moved to London and regularly attended events at clubs like Fabric, Cable, Crucifix Lane, Corsica Studios or Club 414. Commonly known as Peter Sidefex, his collaborations with the Leading Astray Records boat party as well as many other after parties in the city lead to an unavoidable outcome, which was the foundation of Side Efex back in 2014.

Since then, it was common to see him hosting acid and industrial techno nights in different venues like The Egg London, Shelter Club, Rhythm Factory, Lumiere or Castle to name a few, where he normally played b2b as Sidefex alongside Dani Colomina.

Eventually in 2016, he managed to get a residency at the beloved Club 414 in Brixton where he could host Side Efex on monthly basis alongside a team of like minded talents: Cromlab, Zentral, Nikola Carusso, Acid Tension, Labnote, Alvaro Ponce, Dani Colomina and many others who believed in the project.

During that season he also had the chance to bring over some special guests like Robert Johnstone, Xcire, Burjois, Chris Liberator, Dave the Drummer, Chicago Loop, Maxx, Mike Humphries or Elek-fun.

Finally he moved to Barcelona in 2017 where he's been getting into music production and preparing his new personal project: Breaking the silos.
