Gonzalo Villarreal is back for his 3rd appearance on the Mood Series. After his previous two EP's, we couldn't be happier to hear what he's been up to and get some new output from him. 'Trascendalia' offers 4 pieces of strong techno that ebb and flow while perfectly balance catchy, addictive yet distinctive and dancefloor directed. 'Dhammacor Ascendance' is a techy dub gem. The broken almost electro beat really shines inside these chords that ride and build. 'Synaptic Alchemy (V1)' unique chord work is something to behold. If you are after dub techno that rises but also changes directions, then check out this piece. V2 of this track offers a bit more streamlined version while still really honing in on the hook of the track. Either way, both version are epic! 'Zenithian Awakening' is a wonderful way to close this EP out. A beautiful and soothing ride, this is a fine example of the future of the genre through Gonzalo's eye. To close these masterful pieces with this amazing ending really ties the EP for long replays and plenty of listening time. One thing Greyscale looks for pushing the boundaries is a different color and timber to the evolution of the style. This isn't your ordinary dub techno. Check this out! Dear listeners, welcome to another episode of the Identity formation listening sessions. While we usually only publish podcasts on the first Sunday of the month, we have decided to release some podcasts from our collection to give you the opportunity to enjoy this quite time with some new soothing music. Our ninth installment is curated by none other than Jeroen Smulders, also known by his artistic moniker "Monosphere", and the the visionary mind behind @deep_electronic.

Monosphere aka Jeroen Smulders from the Netherlands is the founder of Deep Electronics, a deep music podcast and netlabel that explores the deep diversity in music. He was introduced to electronic music in the 80s with the music of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis. In the 90's he explored the many genres such as techno, ambient and goa/psychedelic trance as well as artists from the past such as Klaus Schultz and Kraftwerk. In later years, his interest in more experimental and deeper electronic music led him to dubtechno and dub-related subgenres.

In 2013 he started his channel to collect this music and other genres in tracks and guest mixes from all over the world, combined with his own photography.

He has also released many sets on prestigious channels such as Poisonoise, Dub Explorations from Quandrant Soundscape, Spclnch, Dub Techno TV, Feed the Raver and many more. In 2023 he'll be celebrating 10 years of podcasting and more than 35 years of listening to electronic music.

As we embark on this auditory exploration, let the waves of sound wash over you, carrying you to realms where emotion and melody intertwine.
