DJ SIDEWAYS - MONOCHROME MIX

After a couple of months hiatus, mainly due to attending other people's parties, Out Of Doors returned in August. The last dance before Out Of Focus Gathering 2025.

This time the setting was beneath a monolithic vertical rock face, overlooking the surrounding area. On one side you have the expansive view of the valley, and the other the magnificent, sheer precipice bearing over you. 

It was an opportunity to share an evening with friends and unfamiliar faces alike.  To immerse ourselves in this beautiful setting. But also to trial some new fixtures we had recently required. The music was sounding strong, the lights were illuminating the unique features of this space and the telo kept all the gear dry.

This mix was recorded later in the evening. Driving techno, with notes of etherealism and hypnotism.

I gathered over 40 tracks and mixed them live on Ableton, editing as well as it is pretty much my favorite software of any kind…The result is 3 h 00 of music that ranges from minimal, dubby techno, experimental, ambient soundscapes and a mist of ethereal beauty from Monolake that defies Space & time…
