Sidney nous fait découvrir son univers à travers des histoires chantées sur des musiques parfois délicates,parfois brutes ou festives mais toujours profondes. Il met sa voix au service de chansons autobiographiques émaillées de souvenirs d'enfance ou de thèmes plus actuels dans lesquels beaucoup se retrouvent. Si l’on retrouve par touches subtiles les techniques de la guitare flamenco dans les arrangements, c’est avant tout la liberté de style qu’offre la chanson française que Sidney Balsalobre privilégie en allant fureter du côté du swing,du blues ou du folk, s’inscrivant dans un registre acoustique quelque part entre Thomas Fersen et Jamait… et même le Renaud des débuts. S’il manie différents styles musicaux, Sidney Balsalobre ne se perd pas pour autant grâce à une « signature » musicale très personnelle. Bref, Sidney Balsalobre en concert, c’est une musique simple et authentique, par un artiste proche du public et généreux tout comme l’est sa musique.

i am old old now .where did all the years go. try and catch a song .. i try and get a good take.  i record it  ..i never played live...most of the songs are from the 8o's .   old songs.. new recordings .I can not hear very well in one ear, . the mix maybe a bit off..i am dyslexic....my song writing has been for me self therapy... .I hope my words help you heal :O)i have tinnitus makes it hard listening to others music ..
