“Dolla aka Knocka” is a music producer, whose diverse production arrangement, and choice of sounds definitely define his work as unique. He was always inspired by music, but it wasn’t until December 2006, he embraced the possibility of contributing to the art he was so much influenced by. From that moment, Dolla turned his idea of creating music into a full time hustle.

Dolla dedicated the majority of his spare time creating his signature sound, perfecting his craft, as well as learning about the business aspects of the music industry. In 2006, Kwame “Dolla” Griffin decided to create his own music production company,“BEATKNOCKA PRODUCTIONS.” This gave him the opportunity to showcase his music to local aspiring artist, as well as perfect many skills such as, songwriting, recording, mixing, editing, and mastering.

As his confidence level increased, Dolla decided it was time to build a reputation for himself, as a producer within the music community. He started promoting his music to DJ's, local clubs/lounges, small radio stations, open mics, as well as performing w/ artists, he produced music for. By keeping his face seen and his music heard, Dolla entered himself in producer showcases, producer battles, and A&R power summits. 

With music bringing his audience to their feet, this talented producer proves to be a star in the making. During this short time as an aspiring music producer, Dolla has already received a nomination for “Best Emerging Producer,” at the 2009 Underground Music Awards.

What’s next? Currently, he is working with various local artist, alongside his own artists. He is promoting his on-going Compilation (Various Artists) and his Instrumental cd throughout different regioins/areas. The  Compilation album showcases various artists, as well as his production abilities, The Instrumental allows him to demonstrate his versatility. What to expect from this Compilation album and Instrumental CD? You can always expect to hear hot music, that’s raw, full of energy, and is in a league of its own.
