This week, we feature Salty Prawn aka Pranav Gohil, a Bombay based producer whose latest release is a single called "I Crushed Your Flower". The TripHop track is a melodic fusion of Drum n Bass laced with nostalgic Bollywood samples. The interaction of Indian vocals with electronic music has always been Salty Prawn's signature sound and this track showcases his musical aesthetic and wizardry with a simple beat that allows the vocals to be the core in the song progression.

A four song EP, FUCK is an inspired meta-narrative modeled after the novel Erasure by Percival Everett. Each song is meant to emit irreverence, apathy, and animalistic impulse. Still, in all the ways his music sounds amoral, Turner’s FUCK is more accurately characterized by its deft performance of balance, its exciting musical pursuit of striking harmony between self-awareness and self-sabotage, between hedonism and asceticism.

Rohit Chandak aka Nour is a Jaipur based musician whose latest release is a single titled "Shades of my mind". Describing the impermanence of the contents of one's mind aurally, the track places the listener as the observer of these fluidic shifts. The elements of the track comprise, a slow paced string backdrop to a seemingly fast recurring bassline, and double time drum drops. In melodic terms, the elements are vividly simple, revolving around a fixed tonality, moving about in a scalar fashion rather than focussing on chord shifts. The complexity is defined rather by rhythmic harmonies than sectional ones with the textures varying from sine tones to emotive strings and industrial percussion with a well rounded higher sub bass.
Donning multiple hats Rohit is also part of a electronic duo project - Sluice Insanity.

Eashwar Subramanian's is a Bangalore based musician whose latest release is a single titled 'Verdant Nature'. The track is an ambient piece treading between pure ambience and Indian influences. The Indian element being in the form of raga based piano variations and counterpoints. In addition there is also an middle Eastern flavor with the use of the Duduk.
