As summer heats up so does Andhera Records with a massive new release, You Hear That EP, by Sunday Noise and Paul Trelles, which comes with exquisite remixes from Mihai Popoviciu and Mallin. 

Sunday Noise and Paul Trelles hail from Peru, and are forefront of the scene in Lima. Between them they’ve released on credible labels like Rawsome, Tobus Limited, Distance, Miaw and Whoyostro. 

The first track on the EP is, Just a Line, where tripped out vocal incidentals combine with eerily treated vocals, layered on swirling atmospherics creating an edgy late night deep and hypnotic flavour. Next up is, You Hear That, with its shuffling highs, bouncing bassline combining with the atmospherics and effortless arrangement this is absolute groover. 

The third track on the EP is Mihai Popoviciu’s remix. Popovicui is well known from his huge releases on Poker Flat, Get Physical, Bedrock, Dessous, Bondage Music and his own label Cyclic imprint, and his inimitable style has arrived on Andhera. His remix is as you would expect from him, smooth, deep, and excellently executed. With a rolling bass, and filtered pads pushed into the background, this grows in a crescendo throughout the track to where the uplifting chords drop, and smiles rise, make no mistake this is a sublime remix. 

The last track on the EP is Mallin’s remix of You Hear That. Mallin’s profile has been rising the last few years via string of hot releases on labels like Glasgow Underground, Inermu, and Oh Stockholm. For his remix he delivers a sensual deep number adding a melodic and uplifting touch to the original, with a delicate short sax sample to really give this an excellent end of the night feel. 

This is an absolute must have release on the fast rising Brooklyn imprint, Andhera Records, and something you’ll definitely be hearing all summer long on the underground floors of the world.

Jey Kurmis is set to be a name on the rise after the ‘Lil’ Nic French EP’ drops on Hot Creations later this month. A four pronged attack of bumping summer jams flecked with infectious vocals - lead track ‘Lil’ Nic French’ first appeared on Richy Ahmed’s massive Rinse FM compilation and rightly sets the tone with its heavy bass beat and mind bending acid line. Next up, ‘LA Shazz’ specialises in a chunky percussive groove and heavy low-end. On the flip, ‘Lover’ is an irresistible al fresco affair centred on a super groovy cowbell that builds with tight kicks and a richly textured soundbed. Closing the package, ‘Miss Raadi’ is another deadly groover laced with a dose of freakiness.

Since Stefano Noferini's debut release on Monika Kruse's label Terminal M Records in the beginning of 2015 he released some more of his hi quality clubtunes on his own label Deeperfect, Toolroom Trax and Stereo Productions. For these three new tracks he teamed up with Metodi Hristov from Sofia, Bulgaria's capital who's releases and remixes on Rejected, Time Has Changed and Noir Music were always sure chart toppers. SNOE has been off to a banging start in 2017, and are continuing their quest to find innovative and captivating music. SNOEflakes #3 presents a selection of varied and strong personalities, each bringing their own distinctive characters to the catalog. 

Label boss Beth Lydi kicks off the release with “Virgo”, a light spirited, dreamy yet groovy tune in the name of the stars. SNOE also welcomes back Jorge Montia, one of the masterminds behind the massive tune “Renaissance” that was released on the label last year. Jorge has joined forces with Hotfingers’ own ”Coqui Selection” for the track “Changes”, a wide tune bringing about strong synths and addictive percussions for the big momentum. 

New members of the family, German based DJs and producers DirrtyDishes and MikaH do what they do best. “What I Want” is a groove monster full of energy with an incredibly positive vibe underlined by charming vocal elements. ME & Her are also warmly welcomed to the family with “Let’s Go”. These girls are not fooling around, and the track is packed with drive and energy showcasing their talent for using elements from different genres merged together in a wholeness of drums and synths.

Siege's connection with music runs deep. As a child he was drawn to sound for as long as he can remember. Piano lessons gave him a formal start, but electronic music quickly took over. The energy of eurotrance and the possibilities of sound design opened a new world.

Turntables soon followed. DJing was a way to share that passion, but it wasn't enough. He wanted recognition for the music itself, to create something of his own, so producing became the natural step. Over time this grew into a sound shaped by house, techno and trance, with the drive of techno, the groove of house and the melodies of trance when the track allows for them.

A defining moment came with Crunk, a rework of Mary J. Blige's "Family Affair," released on Azuli. After being swept up in an EDM wave that never felt right, this marked a return to his roots. From there his music began gaining support across the spectrum, from undrground pillars like Carl Cox and Adam Beyer to more mainstream figures such as Tiësto and David Guetta, with consistent backing from BBC Radio 1 selectors including Danny Howard and Pete Tong. Gigs grew in scale, with Tomorrowland's DreamVille stage standing out as a breakthrough, born from a simple email to the festival founder that led to a performance for thousands. His tracks went on to find a home on Toolroom, Saved and Truesoul, while shows took him from Tomorrowland to Eden Ibiza and Studio 338 in London.

Even when life pulled him away from the stage, music stayed close. Coming back was never a question of if, only when. The focus now is simple: make music, and build from there.
