Hello again.
Unable to leave well alone, I made another melody to go with the others. Not that you'll know unless you already had listened to an older version, since I've had a clean out and got rid of old versions of stuff.
I had a bit of a problem with the new melody in that it seemed to magically cut out for the last few notes. It was most confuzzling... until I realised it was because it played the exact same notes as the main melody and therefore just disappeared into the background. So I changed it.
That's about it. It's longer than the previous version, due to the fact that another synth line gets added in, and I took my own advice and left it for a few more bars with all of it playing together before they get removed.
I had an accident removing the drums, in that I'd planned for them all to go at once like I did last time, but the problem of four fingers pressing five buttons together led to me not pressing two of them hard enough. So you get treated to a cut down drum set for the next section. 

Sounds fine though I reckon. And it makes me wonder how many well-known songs have things like that happen in the studio, and what we got is the result of a Happy Accident. Still, if I wasn't insistent on trying to be a smartypants while recording and manipulate what's doing what live-ish rather than set it all out beforehand, I could avoid issues like this. That's less fun though... well, kinda. The neighbours might disagree when they hear me scream "Nooo!" or "Ahh bugger!" for the tenth time in a row.

Yeah, also I removed the wrong synth toward the end, meaning the removal process took a different course to what I'd planned. Ditto the above.

Oh. Since all previous traces about this have disappeared, I should explain what it's all about. It's my tribute to the Oracle at Delphi. I've always found it fascinating, that the young priestess would inhale the naturally-produced hallucinogenic fumes from the rock at the Temple of Apollo, and spout drug-addled gibberish that the priests would interpret into prophecies. WIkipedia tells me that the oracles were known as Pythia, and it has a pretty cool painting of one on the article.

Freelance translator, sometime juggler, wannabe mathematician, and more to the point, bloke with a couple of Electribes and the spare time afforded by working from home. One part of the electronica collective Happy Accident with Quatermass, adding the hardware-side synth and knob twiddling to his software-side conjury, remixing and general ability to draw things out to ten minutes without making them boring.
I'm not overly musical, but I recall enough of my scales and theory from my stint playing bass around the millennium and a few periods of learning guitar since, that I can hum up a nice melody in the shower, and turn it into a few minutes of music.
