Author's Notes:Please note: I generally do my best to show my characters having realistic conversations about sexual health and safety. I tried here, but it was just throwing off the pacing of the story, so we're suspending our disbelief for this one. As a general rule, be risk-aware, and use barriers and contraceptives as necessary for your and other people's protection!

Trans stuff again, as a reminder: Obviously Ed and Stede are both trans, and have both been on testosterone for multiple years. Stede has had top surgery, Ed hasn't. Words used for both their genitalia throughout the story are "cock," "cunt" and "entrance." There is also vaginal fingering. In a later chapter, there is a brief mention of Ed sometimes having mild dysphoria about his chest, and it will be flagged again in the notes for that chapter. In case anyone is concerned after the previous note, there is no discussion of PIV sex in this story.
