Damir Yakupov, better known as Primitive, is a DJ & producer from St. Petersburg and a resident of the @rootsunitedrecords project. His journey into DJing began with collecting jungle and drum and bass vinyl, which later evolved into regular broadcasts on @testfm_radio and performances in local clubs.

Today, his music transcends genres, creating hypnotic sets that blend seemingly incompatible styles. These sets are often heard at independent festivals and in unique musical spaces. Primitive's style is a mix of curiosity and openness to new horizons, where each track becomes an experimental chapter in the ongoing story of sound.
