Another labour of love for your listening enjoyment. We were delighted to see this song up on Beatport Play, as we had been planning to make a cheeky re-edit of it but didn't get round to it. We ended up only using the vocal stem and a small part of the guitar stem which we stretched out into a pad sound. We think the song lends itself well to the warm house vibes. Just wanted to take it in a slightly different direction but still respect the original.

Hush Hush is proud to present the Seven Years Week Remixes collection featuring nine new interpretations of tracks taken from the blissful debut full-length album from veteran Seattle electronic producer Hanssen as well as a brand-new original track, "Turn It Off." Hanssen handpicked a diverse roster of electronic musician friends and colleagues to tackle and re-imagine his dreamy, spacious, synth-heavy soundscapes and twist them in whichever way they pleased. A few of Seattle's most established artists rise up to the challenge including Pezzner, Hanssen's longtime partner in tech-house duo Jacob London, Doza aka Carlos Mendoza of beloved house duo LawnChair Generals, and the elusive, shadowy scntfc. Joining their ranks are a few of Seattle's most unique underground luminaries in rising abstract electronic composer TimHeld, lovable leftfield producer and Pleasure Boat Records head honcho Naturebot, as well as Hush Hush alum Secret School. NYC-based electronic producer Maxo (Secret Songs, PC Music) is the lone non-Seattle artist to contribute a remix, gleefully adding his playful and colorful aesthetic to album standout "Everyday With Rachael." Rounding out the set are a pair of Hanssen's own remixes of "Solar America," a hypnotic slow-motion reversal aptly titled "Acirema Ralos" as well as a seductively shimmering dancefloor take. A transportive sonic journey that covers everything from tranquil ambient compositions to euphoric house anthems and jittery R&B jams to crunchy IDM/techno beats, Seven Years Week Remixes is a refreshing new look at Hanssen's most fully realized sonic work to date.
