After the release of his first album 'Room With View', Joris Delacroix pursues its collaboration with Woh Lab. He participates in the artistic management of the structure today and gives a deep-house accent in the last releases. This eighteenth release is the perfect example. On 'La Mat ' Joris demonstrates one more time its talent to build subtile and sophisticated melodies, a track which tempts to dance arms in the air on a beach by looking at the sunrise of the sun on the sea. And remixes are of the same level with a version from the German duet Aka Aka to be played peak time, and a second one very deep realized by a another expert in melodies, Swiss David Keno.

This is a cover version of "Magic Table" by Spike. It was originally released in 1983, but was then re-released by Golf Channel Recordings in 2011.
Our friend Ryan showed us the song cause it freaked him out that Spike's voice sounds exactly like Filip's voice. When we heard it we were blown away with the similarity and decided to do a cover just to see how similar the voices are (also cause it's a damn good song). We were happy with the result and decided to put it on our last mixtape and you can download it here for free.

The 52nd installment of our famed podcast series is coming from London based DJ, vocal techniques graduate, accomplished pianist and Crosstown Rebel signing Francesca Lombardo. Initially going under the alias Jackie Misfit whilst DJ’ing at underground clubs and parties throughout London as well as running her own imprint Echolette Records before re-earthing in her current carnation. The label boss has delivered a special exclusive mix for MEOKO to celebrate Kublicle’s seventh B-DAY. The mix plays out shifty transitions that take place throughout time and space and does not aim at phat hands-in-the-air moments but rather big silent freak outs that has you coming out of your closet dancing, possibly in sexy tights. There is an endless emphasis on deep vocals which does not come as a surprise as Lombardo is a classically trained vocalist herself who also loves to produce tracks and remixes which ooze voices and song elements. This might be one of the reasons why Francesca got picked up by Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels. The mix reflects all currents of the moment, with Francesca being the firm epicentre of the London party scene.

A strong advocate for “True House Music”, Leeds based Darius is a core artist in Steve Lawler’s VIVa music family, runs his own record label and is a monthly resident at Sankeys Nightclub in Manchester. Darius recently remixed the Freaks for Hot Creations to great effect

Young Spanish talent Hector Couto is another VIVa music family member also with releases on Saved Records, his own imprint Pura Music and now set for major success with Darius on Hot Creations. Hector was one of Resident Advisor’s top 100 charted producers in 2011 and was nominated for DJ awards in Deejay and Vicious Mag.
