A born entertainer with a burning desire to play music to people around the world, Sam Divine’s enigmatic sets are an effortless schooling in pure, unadulterated house. From her early days as the sole member of the Defected street team in Ibiza to fronting their radio show and now headlining the world’s biggest clubs and festivals, The First Lady of Defected, has become an intrinsic part of the UK house music scene. The seeds of Sam’s DJ career can be traced back to a pair of belt drive turntables and a battered Numark mixer set up in her Mum’s shed; a pirate radio show broadcast from her bedroom using ‘borrowed’ equipment from the local college, MSN Messenger and time spent expanding her musical knowledge working at Spin Central in her home town of Weston-super-Mare and Chemical Records in Bristol.

A chance encounter with then Defected Radio host, Aaron Ross, in Notting Hill in theearly 00s, led Sam to Ibiza where she quickly became an integral figure in the West End. Since then she’s played at some of the island’s biggest clubs year upon year, holding down residencies at Pacha, Mambo, Amnesia, Eden and Ushuaïa, all the while sharing space with some of the greatest names in dance music, including Frankie Knuckles, Master’s At Work, MK, DJ Spen, KiNK, Sandy Rivera and Dennis Ferrer to name a few. 

Sam launched her own highly successful imprint, DVINE Sounds, in 2015. To date, the label has seen almost 100 releases, helping to propel talented up and coming artists into the spotlight. Her own foray into production began with a remix of the classic garage anthem ‘Flowers’ that proved a hit, reaching the top spots on Traxsource and Beatport. A remix of Amira’s 1997 garage hit, ‘My Desire’, followed in 2019. In 2020 DVINE celebrated its fifth birthday, with the label evolving into branded events, boat parties, a stage at We Are FSTVL and a return to ADE. 

Stepping back twelve months, 2019 was a year of firsts for Sam with her debut appearance at London’s Printworks venue, where she returned on New Year’s Day alongside her Defected crew. That September she was invited by Radio 1 tastemaker Pete Tong to record a coveted Essential Mix – a true marker of how far her career had come. 

On top of touring globally and playing festivals worldwide, Sam continues to put a focus on giving back, raising over £50,000 for Breast Cancer Research through her charity D-Vita and mentoring up and coming female artists via her association to Lady In The House. Like all others, the pandemic ground all touring to a halt but it also inspired Sam to spend more time in the studio and 2021 also brought new music in a collaboration with Australian DJ and producer, Kormak, as well as a new EP on her own label. 

Since then she has showed no signs of slowing down with 45+ week touring schedules in each of 2022 & 2023, while the fruits of those studio labors manifested in a frequent release schedule, that featured collaborations with Josh Barry (Take My Hand), Hayley May (Face In The Crowd) and others. Looking ahead to 2024, Sam already has confirmed releases with Hannah Wants & Jem Cooke, another collaboration with Josh Barry, remixes for Dennis Ferrer & Inner City and confirmed DVINE Sounds events for Miami Music Week, Hideout Festival (Croatia), One Out Festival (London) and Defected boat parties in Croatia & Malta, all the while continuing her weekly FM radio show on Kiss UK and Defected.

Started mixing vinyl in the early 90's due to the club scene in Blackpool back then. Some great DJ's were made and played in clubs like Shaboo, Macy's, Oz, Love Shack, Zone, Sequins, Main Entrance,The Venue and the unforgettable Juice 1 & 2 events at the Palace Nightclub and produced top class DJ's like Dick Johnson. Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Alistair Whitehead, Graeme Park, Mike Pickering to name but a few all graced Blackpool with their presence back then. Alistair Whitehead and Dick Johnson influenced me to have a go at mixing and have dabbled on and off since then. Bought my first CDJ's only last year and just upgraded to Pioneer's to step up and hopefully get a few sets somewhere. Edit @ Baku in Chorley with DJ's Phil Rose and Andy Nic have proven that good house music is still very much alive and inspired me to get back on the decks. Made my debut on Easter Weekend on the Allister Whitehead bill at Baku in Charnock Richard and am now an Edit resident.

He has played around the globe from London to Buenos Aires via Ibiza and Tokyo and everywhere in between. 
He released two top 30 UK singles on the Perfecto label in the 1990's and two undergound 12"s on the Wall of Sound label between 2001-2004. 
He released a series of 3 tracks featuring vocalist Susy K on the Planet Acetate label in 2012 and is working on new material.
He has DJ'ed alongside the cream of international DJ's from Jacques Lu Cont, Too Many DJ's Sasha, Weatherall & Carl Cox through to Erol Alkan, and a million others along the way.

Playing across the spectrum of House, Disco and Electronica Grant Holmes is resident DJ and co-promoter at Edit. Who have been the stalwarts of the North West’s Nu Disco and Edit scene for over the past decade.
When not on Edit duties Grant has played at numerous festivals, events, club nights and iconic venues such as Alfresco Festival, Beat Herder, Disco in the Park, Retro in the Park, Drop the Beat Festival, La Discotheque, Manchester’s Albert Hall, Gorilla, The Refuge, Demented Disco, The Pen & Pencil, Glitter Babe, UK club classics brand Retro and Angels Reunion, Rejuvenation, That Needs an Edit and the list goes on. Regular radio guest mixes play a big feature in Grant’s music schedule with appearances for likes of Spin City, Midnight Riot Radio, Black Light Disco and Disco Daze. 
Hailing originally from Blackburn, Grant’s early teenage years luckily coincided with the boom of the illegal Blackburn Warehouse Parties and Acid House music explosion, and this is where his love of house music was forged. Grant spent a lot of his well-spent youth living the dream at the seminal Angels nightclub in Burnley, this is where he progressed from raver to house music obsessive train spotter. DJ’ing in clubs at night and working in record shops during the day soon followed.
During the 90’s Grant was best known for his long term residency at ‘Federation’ Blackpool (a legendary House night) playing alongside the A-lister guest DJ’s who played there on a weekly basis. He was also a regular face on the Midlands club scene playing at Birmingham’s biggest nights such as 'Crunch' at the Venue and 'S.L.A.G' at the Steering Wheel. Guest spot highlights from back in the day include Bar Rhumba (London), Phillips Park Hall, Dry Bar, Life @ Bowlers, Juice, Club Fusion, Blue Note, Club Xpo, The Mill, Park Hall and North Bar to name but a few.

DJ EZ (pronounced DJ EEE ZED) is widely - and rightly - regarded as one of the finest, most gifted DJs on the planet. The “DJ’s favourite DJ”, EZ has been a musical force of nature for over two decades, saluted by the industry for being a creative mixer with an unparalleled instinct and technical prowess - not to mention one of the quickest fingers in the trade with his trademark cue button action displays during his sets. A contemporary UK electronic music institution, Eats Everything (AKA Daniel Pearce) has a global reputation built on versatility, superlative skills and a positive outlook - core fundamentals that have made him one of the most in-demand artists around. With his roots firmly embedded in the vibrant, influential music culture of his hometown, Bristol, Eats Everything channels his broad musical palette into every aspect of his output. In 2021 the globetrotting DJ, accomplished producer, prolific remixer, label owner, radio host and mastermind behind a collection of popular party brands will celebrate 10 years of his now infamous pseudonym.

Right place, right time. It's an old cliché, but it's one that's been the definition of Dennis Ferrer's musical career. Just as the dance music world was heading into the world of afro-centric house, Ferrer was there. And then, when it began to embrace the mix of tech and soul, Ferrer was there again, leading the way with his impeccable productions. As Ferrer goes, it seems, so does electronic music. And, as someone who's never content to do the same thing twice, it's clear that he'll be staying on top for years to come.

Ferrer burst back into the consciousness of most dance music heads with the release of "Sandcastles," (Ibadan) his collaboration with Jerome Sydenham in 2003. But, to his credit, Ferrer didn't simply repeat the formula afterwards. He has continued to push a variety of genres all at once. It's clear that Ferrer isn't content to rest on his laurels: he's too busy dreaming up new ways to shock and delight audiences.

In the mid-90’s, Ferrer was crafting techno records as Morph and then had success in the Afro and gospel house scenes with releases via his Sfere label, an imprint he began alongside Kerri Chandler. But it's this past work that gives his new productions such resonance: unlike many of this house peers, Ferrer's techno experience has given him an edge that you can hear in his recent work.

"Son of Raw," (Ibadan) "Church Lady," (Defected) "Underground Is My Home," (King Street Sounds), "Touched the Sky" (King Street Sounds), “Transitions” (King Street Sounds), “P 2 Da J” (Defected),  “Sinfonia Della Notte” (Strictly Rhythm), “Hey Hey” (Objektivity), “Red Room” (Objektivity), “Underground” Nick Curly – Dennis Ferrer Remix (Defected), to name a few, have all been huge dance floor anthems and all show a different side of the Ferrer personality as well as his impressive range as producer and remixer.

Ferrer has brought his ‘anything goes’ approach to his label, Objektivity.  Celebrating its 8th anniversary in 2014, the imprint has thus far focused itself on vocals, featuring often unlikely turns from indie heroes like Ane Brun and Télépopmusik. Low slung and deep, Objektivity is a cutting-edge label in touch with its time, putting a uniquely American spin on the deep house revival that is currently making waves in Europe. Objektivity is a living, breathing thing - one that's set to drop bombs on the dance floor for years to come.

While Ferrer closes out 2013 with “Mind Ur Step” (Defected), “Mind Ur Dub” (Objektivity) and a remix of Coyu - “Salvation” (Noir Music), the best is yet to come. With a deep knowledge of the past and a constant push for the future, Ferrer remains one of the true greats of house music - a leader and innovator whose enjoying the buzz around him but keeping on pushing the limits.
