Dreaming of happiness in the silence of a dawn. 
Upcoming day was promising disassociation
In the prose of routine.

This time the limerence was brief,
Yet bittersweet and desperate. 
The chimerical metamorphosis missed just a little.
You almost became a fragment of wire with dead butterflies on it.
The voice of hope was weak and subordinate,
But still, it whispered.
Pleasure and pain were only a breath apart.

Candles have been burned while the song faded.
And while feelings lingered in a morning fog 
A new day was rising over the horizon.

Brooklyn-based DJ threehz brings a deep and dreamy perspective to an often-aggressive techno landscape, with a focus on textured, spiraling, playful psychedelia to appeal to both mind and body.
This mix pulls from a pretty wide range of genres and influences and includes a number of their long time favorites alongside more contemporary selections.  Rather than the typical linear arc, they tried to have the energy of this mix flow in a more push/pull kind of way, and to arrive somewhere different than where we started.

This 2000 album by the Austrian production duo known as Tosca (consisting of Richard Dorfmeister of Kruder and Dorfmeister, and Rupert Huber, both of G-Stone fame), is integral in the history of instrumental hip/trip hop and electronic music. I am excited to share it with viewers and listeners in the form of a mix. Its meditative nature makes for an extremely chill, downtempo evening of listening. It has almost a dream like, out of body sound to it. Named after the buddhist monk, Shunryū Suzuki, the album is a concept of pure relaxation, and even astral projection, transcendence, and a new beginning.

1998 vinyl mixtape in the times of NYC Giant Step, Organic Grooves & Turntables on the Hudson parties as well as Sunshine & Dub Club Vienna where we were starting to play often. "A Song for You" reflects our new Nickodemus & Jay B song "Samsara" which is the 1st song on the B side (after the break). There were around 20 samples in the song & no one wanted to release it, until I met MUSH records owner Robert who took the chance & we released "A New Day" EP on vinyl.  Weaving through Jazz & Hip Hop, Dub & Music from around the World with lots of UK pressings, as I frequently bought the imports section of our local record stores Eight Ball, DanceTraxx, Satellite, etc... This was our unique sound we brought to NYC parties at the time. DL & enjoy
