Often compared to a living, breathing thing, a proper club night ebbs and flows as people dance the night away. The peaks, the lulls, all powered by a pulsing, rhythmic beat. Steady, ever so steady. Simone Bauer’s ‘Aurea’ evokes those same emotions and feelings of an evolving night from the depths of the beginning to a soaring finish. A journey if you will. From the thump of the first heart-like beat, the ethereal pads bring in an introspective touch and act as a fine mist over the staccato of shakers and other percussive elements.

Aurea will let out into the world on March 15th, via the French imprint, Accents Records. Joined alongside by a litany of other amazing producers, this will mark the fifth VA compilation the label has put together.

With the project XV | 1 Affin leaves 15 years of its existence behind and looks expectantly and full of optimism into the future.

The A side starts with MTRL's (co-founder of the Munich IO label), "Spice Fields" who celebrates his Affin debut here with a delicate, driving track. Another premiere is the first cooperation between Cauê and Joachim Spieth, who celebrate here with "Alpha", an atmospheric multi-modulated piece of club music.

The B side starts with an old acquaintance, Reggy Van Oers, who makes a massive reappearance with "niffA" after a few years of abstinence. Svarog closes the first episode of our 15th anniversary with the pushing "Psalm". All tracks were mastered at the Berlin-based Artefacts Mastering Studio. Markus Guentner, a label artist from the early days, is responsible for the graphic design and also did a logo redesign.

In collaboration with Oslated's sub-label Huinali Recordings, we are happy to present a new track from the upcoming Aconites EP from The Vision Reels. The release consists of two original compositions supplemented by various artists' remixes and made in parallel with the Collective Vision EP. As for the premiering Aconites (Owl Submergence), it's a creation that pays tribute to the beauty of nature using a range of field recordings. We let ourselves be bound to its pure, aetheric ambiance, putting our psyche on a calming, slow drone cloud only to get lost in a misty forest surrounded by chirping birds. Our path in this dreamscape is guided by a percussion gradience, and layer over layer we experience an unexpected yet welcoming stay in a magical, primordial place. Delicate and deeply atmospheric, the track is a spell of clarity that invites us to come closer to our organic being.

Monument premieres the "Owl" remix of the track "Aconites" from the release, which will be out on the 10th of October.

mono no aware (もののあわれ) is the first compilation to be released on PAN, collating unreleased ambient tracks from both new and existing PAN artists.

Featuring Jeff Witscher, Helm, TCF, Yves Tumor, M.E.S.H., Pan Daijing, HVAD, Kareem Lotfy, ADR, Mya Gomez, Sky H1, James K, Oli XL, Bill Kouligas, Flora Yin-Wong, Malibu, and AYYA, the compilation moves through more traditional notions of what is called ’ambient’, to incorporating wider variations that fall under the term.

“Mono no aware”, ‘the pathos of things’, also translates as “an empathy toward things", or "a sensitivity to ephemera”. A term for the awareness of impermanence, or the transience of things. A meditation on mortality and life's transience, ephemerality heightens the appreciation of beauty and sensitivity to their passing. In investigating the passing of time, the boundaries between memory and hallucination become blurred; between fiction and reality. The movement of time transforms into an eternal present.

The album is mastered and cut by Rashad Becker at D&M, featuring photography by Molly Matalon and design by Bill Kouligas. A limited version of 100 copies will be released as a special art edition in collaboration with Mount Analog for the LA Art Book Fair 2017, before going on general release.

Wata Igarashi and Voiski join forces to present their new collaborative project, WAV. Ignoring the physical distance between Tokyo and Paris, a personal and musical closeness encouraged them to start exploring what they could create together. Voiski the Parisian centipede who brings synth heavy perfection to techno and Wata Igarashi known for his stylishly reduced, immersive melodies and futuristic grooves, collaborate for the first time on Delsin Records.
