I kinda dropped the ball on the whole “release something on Christmas” thing but hey, what can ya do?

I’m a bit of a Smash junkie, so Rivals of Aether is a game that appeals to me because it’s basically indie Melee. But I’m merely a spectator because I don’t have an Xbone and I’m too cheap to buy a new PC controller.

After hearing and drastically effecting the sample from the smash bros switch reveal, I noticed I had misheard a rhythm and also missed a key harmony hidden in the back. When writing the original I took key elements from previous smash themes, but after hearing the harmony, I think this edit could be closer to what the actual theme will sound like. Thanks again for listening!

Update August 4th, 2019: 
- toned down the reverb a bit
- couple of instrument changes
- Made cymbals more audible

I've had this in a WIP state since 2014. This tune is definitely a different style compared to most other Mario Kart tracks.
