Crashing into the new year with a disgusting WALLOP is a name many people are talking about right now – Sota. From being voted as one of the best newcomers in Drum&BassArena’s 2021 awards, to laying down scenes at every event he performs at (especially Onyx X Goat Shed’s recent outing in Bristol), there’s a lot to admire about the strides this 23-year-old is taking right now.

It’s about time we got him on an Onyx release! Introducing Sota’s debut EP on the label, Whiplash. Stacked with wubs, subs and the relentless energy Sota is rapidly becoming renowned for, it’s an EP guaranteed to cause carnage. You only have to look at the recent success of Sota’s “Flappers” collab with Turno to get a glimpse of what’s to come from this exciting talent.

Following his recent move to Bristol, Hexnine has been pushing the boundaries of his production in every way possible, with previous releases on  top labels like Invicta, Partum, Skank Bank & too ill, you can really see the extent of both his creativity and versatility, Hex has a truly insane back catalogue of solo tracks & collabs for just about everyone. Barbie Flow showcases his more gritty and evil side, and we are incredibly happy to have him onboard.

This track has had some insane support and reactions in the rave so far so we just know you lot are gonna love it.

The reincarnation of a legacy in Drum and Bass: Silent Extent is back. Based in Bern, Switzerland, the duo of Patrick and Chris have revived their original project in 2024, bringing new life to the name.

Originally launched in 2007 as a trio with Toni B, Silent Extent quickly rose through the ranks with releases on international labels like Viper Recordings, Close 2 Death, and others. Known for their versatile style — the group performed across Switzerland and abroad, including a U.S. tour in 2008. After pausing the project in 2012, the silence lasted more than a decade.

Now reborn as a duo, Silent Extent has returned with sharpened focus and fresh fire. With three new releases already out in 2025 and more signed to respected imprints like Architecture Recordings and Close 2 Death, this comeback is anything but nostalgic — it’s a bold step forward.

With deep roots in the craft — Chris DJing since 1996 and Patrick since 2002 — their sets are driven by experience, precision, and raw energy. Silent Extent brings a no-compromise sound made for people that live for bass.
