When I was a kid, I used to wake up with ink stains on my shirt from falling asleep writing so much poetry. Often I wouldn't know what exactly I would even be writing about until I felt like a piece was complete, and only after I read it all the way through did I know what I was trying to express.

I wasn't quite sure what Left of Exile meant to me at first, but looking back now I can tell it's about the story of how I've overcome loneliness and isolation in my life. I look back on these mixes and remember what was happening in the world at that time, as well as whatever I happen to be going through both good and bad.

I hope this marks a time in your life as well. I'm appreciative of going on this journey with you. Thank you for going on it with me 🙏🏽

Always my favorite set of the year, this year's set from the 18th annual Friends and Family Summer Campout, keeps that tradition well alive. I played later than usual, starting at 4:00 am, so the track selections are just a tad deeper and tweakier, in the techno vein, but with a few fun house trax thrown in cos, er, I like house! Turn it up and shake yer ass!

The Scumfrog - Dusty Rhino 24 -  Dusty Rhino AfterBurn 2014

I recorded this track at the Ability Ranch, in Ramona, CA, where I am resident DJ in, a private debut of their epic outdoor Hobbit Hole stage on their private ranch campground. There were no extended invitations due to CoViD, as would have otherwise happened, so it was only fam that Gemini Saturday night with social distancing and masks. The vibe was sweet and I'm so glad the recording worked out! Please like and share if you're digging it! <3
