this song is dedicated to Tad Doyle 🕊️ 

when i attended tad’s funeral this was one of the songs that was shared that was a special song between him and his sister and it really hit me deeply in the heart strings. scar tissue will now forever remind me of tad. 

i immediately went home and started working on this remix because i knew with this upcoming warehouse season there would be a void where tad should be and i wanted to create a sonic reminder that he is still here with us in our hearts and can be felt through sound, memories, and many other things. i made it a point to end my last few sets with this track because i wanted to create an experience that would withhold his energy as if he was there with us physically, as he played such an important role in Tribal Roots and his waves will forever be felt throughout our lives and he will never be forgotten. every time you hear me play this, send your energy to our dear friend tad.

Now I’ve evolved into a much more serious "van producer," so it felt right to put my own spin on a track that helped spark my journey.

Sam Gellaitry - Long Distance (Silk Static Remix)

When I first heard Glass Animal's debut album "ZABA", I honestly didn't like it, but for some reason I felt it was worth another listen. Each time I listened, it grew on me more and more, and it wound up being one of my favourite albums in my high school years. 

Looking back, I see now what kept pulling me in - they had such a distinct sonic identity - like the lush jungle textures woven between each song that made the album feel like it's own world. 

This remix is a little tribute to a band that helped shape what I value in music: originality and authenticity. Hope it does the spirit of the song justice.
