“Hilary Scott with one L” has received rave reviews in national and international publications for her 2015 release, “Freight Train Love”. Feature articles in No Depression, Country Music News International, Maverick Magazine and more are summed up nicely by Joe Montague of Riveting Riffs: “Hilary Scott is a secret that has been kept from too many for far too long.” An interview in Billboard with Chuck Dauphin introduced much more of the world to her sound, and her story. In 1998, Hilary’s older brother Scott died suddenly, leaving a hole in her life that could only be filled with music. To honor him, she took his first name - Scott - as her performance name. 

Scott’s 12th studio project, “Don’t Call Me Angel”, is releasing on the 20th anniversary of her brother’s death. It is an incredibly poignant project for Hilary. It represents some of her finest songwriting, crafted and honed during a period of time in which Scott was commissioned by fans to write or re-arrange more than 20 songs. Multi -Grammy-award-winning Johnny Lee Schell (guitars) and Mike Finnigan (Hammond B-3 organ) - who have toured and recorded with artists as varied as Bonnie Raitt, Jimi Hendrix, Leonard Cohen, Etta James, and Taj Mahal, to name a few - appear on more than half the songs on this record. 

Scott has always bent the rules when it comes to genre and songwriting style. “Don’t Call Me Angel” highlights Scott’s story-telling skills and also her ability to evoke deep emotions in the listener with only a melody or turn of phrase. This latest project also delves more into the realm of soul and blues, although this is not entirely new territory for Scott. Chris Spector of Midwest Record says, “Hilary Scott has a sharp pen, a smoking voice, and more soul than a white girl should have.” 

Hilary Scott’s career has included co-writes with some of the best living songwriters, tours in the U.S., U.K., Europe and Asia, various awards, and with the help of indie label Belltown Records, the release of a dozen albums. Her music has been included in viral videos, such as in the rescue video of Gideon the pit bull, which was featured on Huffington Post, the L.A. Times, and various other domestic and international publications. Recently, her single “Still” has been receiving such significant radio and satellite airplay, that both Amazon and Pandora have reached out to her publishing company for the rights to include it in their music distribution services. 

Scott’s voice has been described as “absolutely extraordinary in its emotional greatness”(Italian producer Euro Ferrari) and she uses that voice to writes songs that hit where it hurts so good: the hearts and minds of a steadily growing and extremely loyal fanbase.

Since the age of 3 Doc has had extensive vocal training and musical instrument training. Originally from Winnipeg, Doc joined the Winnipeg boys’ choir in his early pre-teens. From this he was chosen for Canada's youth choir that toured across the nation. 

Doc ventured into musical projects of his own Starting in Winnipeg shortly after. He started off by playing percussion, moving on to bass guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, then to vocals with a band called Intonal, winning several battles of the bands contests and playing with such artists as "Chysuga" and "Autobody". From 2006 on, forming several other projects in Vancouver (Shrines/Karma Cartel) Doc went on to do more solo projects and became self-taught in various recording/studio programs and techniques. May, 2009 Doc joins metal/hard rock band "Inside It Failed" to become the new frontman/P.R. Since then Doc remains with Inside It Failed.

Inside It Failed has now shared the stage with such acts as "Armchair Cynics", and "Bif Naked" to name a few. With several Canadian tours under their belt, they've now toured across North America with professional management and indie label teams.
