Maybe it's because they're considered a children's toy, but the haunting beauty of the music box has always been equated in my mind with nostalgia and memories. This short music box piece feels appropriate for some short exposition of a character's past, starting in a haunting feel, moving into a happier key and adding more motion until the entire piece meets its climax and looping point.
