Finland Da Great a Pseudonym for his birth name, was born in Akron, Ohio. The youngest of 4 children and the only boy on August 13, 1993. 

After his father's discharge from the Navy the family relocated back to Akron from San Diego.
His parents were churchgoers who received prophecies that the child she carrying was destined for greatness, Immediately after his birth a hospital registrar entered the room where 

Finland Da Great’s Mother rested and stated that, she had to come to see who the baby was that was given such a powerful name. She continued to share that there were people gathered around the nursery window who all appeared to be gawking over one particular newborn that 

Newborn was Finland Da Great! The registrar proceeded to that this baby was very special and that- GOD called him to be somebody great!
Born into a family of entertainers Finland Da Great was a stage baby. 

Finland Da Great at age 2 began destroying the cushions on all of the chairs by beating on them with anything he could find, By age 3 while in music store to purchase his first drum set, his natural ability to play, led people to gather around him to listen. It seemed that any- thing he picked up, he could play. 

Finland Da Great made his debut as a vocal and rap artist with his sisters as a gospel group under the name Instruments of Praise. The group created a buzz big enough for them gain notoriety and were named Akron Ohio’s Best New Artist and to be feature artist of the Gospel Music Workshop of America’s New Artist Showcase under the name Ascension Gospel Music Group. 

The group and Toured with Zoe Records Jayes and Faith Child (England) The British are Coming American Tour as an opening act.

After the tragic death of his uncle in 2006 Da Greats' vision for music began to shift leading to his separation from the family music group in 2009 to pursue a solo career. As a solo artist, he signed onto a small label with his brother -in-law and close friends called Riley Style Records with Founder Rell Riley. Finland Da Great released several songs under Riley Style Records for several years before eventually branching off to rebrand himself.

Rebranding entailed Da Great’s relocation cross country to L.A to establish stronger connections in the ever changing industry. however, as fate would have it he’d establish roots in Las Vegas. This part of his journey led him to the birthing of his own Label/Brand “Rose Wolf G LLC” to start expanding his brand even more. Having released his 5th single, he is gaining the attention of many blogs and independent writers from the U.S to the UK.

Although Da Great has roots in gospel his inspirations include not only contemporary gospel artist Ty Tribett, but Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Drake & Nipsey Hussle. The ingredients to Finland Da Great's captivating mix include Hip-Hop, Alternative, R&B/Soul, and Vocals and leading to the development of an abstract sound. and the evolution of a genre he defines as "Inclusive" placing him a class by himself.
