'Folk Fusion' is probably the closest you will get in trying to define the sound of Berkshire 5 piece All Things Considered.

Led by vocalist Emma Baldwin - whose haunting tones have been likened to Natalie Merchant among others, the band comprise driving fiddle player Gethin Webster, intricate acoustic guitarist Adrian Holden, soaring cello from Andrew Richardson and the groove based, almost tribal percussion of Phil Daniels. Their bold sound and wide musical influences make them both a distinctive, yet very accessible act - with their music reaching a diverse audience.

Thickets are a three-piece alternative-folk band featuring Rebecca Lavery on vocals/autoharp, Emma Hamilton on cello/vocals and Kieran Lavery on drums.

Inspired by the likes of Nick Cave, PJ Harvey and The Decemberists, our songs weave dark tales of murder, regret and revenge. The unusual combination of autoharp, cello and drums creates a haunting, melancholic sound, complemented by layers of ethereal vocal harmonies.

Formed last year in Brighton, Lutine (Heather Minor and Emma Morton) are already establishing themselves are a mesmerising live act, combining haunting vocal harmonies with minimal, delicate instrumentation on a mixture of original songs and traditional folk songs.

They translated their minimal, fragile and evocative sound onto record for the first time on their debut album 'White Flowers', released September 2014, tracks from which have been played by Lauren Laverne and Gideon Coe on BBC 6 Music. Their debut single 'Sallow Tree' featured on Lauren Laverne's 6 music playlist, and they recently appeared live in session for BBC Introducing South.
