The Aqualung ist eine junge Band aus Osnabrück. Vier Musiker, die schon viel Erfahrung in anderen Bands sammelten, bevor sie sich als The Auqalung formierten, um ihre Vorstellungen von spannendem, modernem Rock umzusetzen.

Der Name kommt nicht von ungefähr. Ihre Songs nehmen den Hörer klanglich mit auf eine Unterwasserodyssee. Klangwellen, klein und klar. Man schwebt, glitzernde Töne und Songstrukturen wie Luftblasen auf dem Weg zur Wasseroberfläche. Und gerade wenn man sich sicher fühlt, wenn man glaubt, man kann sich tragen lassen, brechen die Riffs durch wie eine Wellenwand. Und schon ist man in der Welt von The Aqualung. Wenn man wollte, ließe sich The Aqualung als Post-Rock und Progressive-Rock bezeichnen. Letztendlich ist es einfach ein faszinierender und gewichtiger Sound, der wünschen lässt, man könnte sich einfach so treiben lassen.

Four musicians who gained a lot of experience in other bands before teaming up in this band to
materialize their vision of how exciting modern rock should sound.

You are floating, sparkling tones rise to the surface of the songs like bubbles. Tiny waves of sound, small and foamy, playing with your feet at first. But just when you feel save you are surprised by a surging breaker that sucks you in into the world of The Aqualung. If you wish you could label it Post-Rock or Progressive-Rock.
In the end it is a fascinating and weighty sound that makes you wanna floa.
