The Burning Glass have been entertaining festival goers, fishermen in pubs, old folks, children, strangers in the street, trendy hipsters and hopeless saddos since 2011.

Edwin Brooks writes songs that tell stories and make people laugh, jiggle about and even occasionally cry. The band use tuned percussion, ukulele, fiddle, drums and lots of singing to bring these songs to life in their own distinctive style of acoustic pop.

They will be performing their debut recording 'Things that Happened and Other Stories' on the festival circuit in 2014. They are quite friendly and enjoy long walks, star gazing and step aerobics. Come to see us play.

Thee MVPs got a little uncomfy with the idea of not having any new material out until the autumn so they decided to soundtrack your summer plans with this short ep done up quickly but also done up right. Two slabs of fuzzed out pop to sate whoever's hankering for more music by them. Additionally the band decided to record two of their favourite songs on the b-side for a laugh too. Tune in, dial it up loud and rowdily relax to ELH +3.

Here’s my set from the Unita II event in Eugene this past Saturday (2am-3:45am) with a recording of the room and crowd mixed in, you can hear Manoj speak at the end and the closing circle. Rachel Torro (sf) had just ended when this recording started. This was a really fun, very high energy event. Hearing the screams of joy and so many other awesome human atmospheres in the room, I often end up teary eyed listening to something so beautiful that I was lucky enough to contribute to. Notice how the various noises from the crowd changes everyone's experience so much, I’ve played very similar sets that didn’t pop off like this all at. The creation from the dancers, promoters, venue, etc make that set pop off the way it did. I’ve spent the far majority of the past 12 years of my life in Eugene and the city has shaped the essence of the music that moves through me - and it’s been really fun watching the city shape the music going through other dj/artists as well. The really cool thing about that is the dancers create and ARE the music in so many ways. 

It has one of the two songs I have coming out with Desert Hearts Records, unreleased tune coming out with Uniting Souls Music, and the opening tune is called It's "All About" that is coming out with Desert Dwellers' label Desert Trax. Thanks for listening, sharing, reposting, etc.!
