I arrived in Berlin in the early 2000s, when the city was still raw and untamed. The nightlife became not just my home, but a passion that continues to drive me.

My musical journey has taken me through various genres, but it's hypnotic techno that has truly captured my soul. Now, after years of listening and experiencing, it's time to share my own vision and give back the sound that has shaped me.

Resident DJ at Artheater Club, Cologne

Gutkind's sound and sets are techno to the core: diverse, moving, timeless. It's no coincidence that he's been a fixture at Cologne's Artheater for years. But instead of becoming dull and drowning in the midst of changing scene trends and hypes, the numerous gigs as a resident DJ have made him more attentive and sensitive to the mood and the course of a party night. For the right energy and fun on the dance floor, the context is most important to him. Facts like club, party, headliner, set length – whether opening, closing or somewhere in between – significantly influence the composition of his sets. Which can be fast, dark and hypnotic, as well as slower, groovier, with more Detroit influences or breaky vibes. All for a night that should never end.

Space Above is the atmospheric-electronic project of New Zealand music producer Aaron Short. Space Above strays from pop structures in an exploration of ethereal sounds and dance floor progressions. Blending spacious vocal melodies from artists including Alisa Xayalith, BOYBOY, So Below, with intoxicating electronic twists, Short is always looking further outwards for inspiration.
