dreams ep. 23: roots

What can I tell you dear listener. It's one of those episodes. For me this was one of those episodes. The ones that get stuck in your chest, you feel them heavy and they stay there for a while. Only God knows why this hold up occurs but it does from time to time, for good or for bad.

And if I have to be frank, that's the reason why I was away for the last couple of weeks. And they were some emotional weeks. It's not like I didn't have anything to tell you. Quite the contrary. I did. I didn't feel like it though...

Life is an interesing thing (and here I stop you before you've said "I've had it with your cliches!" It's a cliche because it is true). You have ups and downs. Today something small makes you smile, tomorrow something even smaller dampens your mood. It's not like things didn't happen to me over the last couple of weeks. I've been piling up this energy inside of me and I had no clear idea how to put it to good use. And I still don't. Ups and downs and ups and downs. But that's a good thing, right? You always need something to pick you up from the dust when you are down under, something to root you down when you are flying high. Something to hold you together, like the roots of a tree. 

And yet, I don't feel like talking. All I want right now is to play. That's why I'm getting back to my roots. Pure Energy. Emotion. No planning ahead, no playlists, no preparations. Just me and the jog wheels. And so be it.. whatever happens, happens.

This time I have no story, I have no moral, no playlist. Only music, only pure emotion.
