Orchestral Adagio & Capriccio

A difficult percussion ensemble work for 13 players. World Premier by Rowan University Percussion Ensemble. Dean Witten, Conductor.

"Requiescence" represents my interpretation of a recurring nightmare my three year-old daughter had over the course of three months. Mutterings of, "Mommy! No! We're dancing!" ... "Help! Stop dancing!" would break the silence of the night followed by more calming phrases like, "It's okay now, we're just dancing".

How could you have a nightmare about dancing, I asked myself? What kind of wonderful, awful music would accompany a nightmare about dancing? I'll never know exactly what that dream sounded like, but perhaps this is close.

This piece is currently self-published, although I am seeking traditional publication now.

He was co-composer on the British Academy Award winning soundtrack for the best selling X-Box 360 game Crackdown. His work has been synced on TV shows and international film advertising campaigns and he has made many albums of production library music for companies such as FEM (West One), Headlock/Music Box, Repertoire, Pedigree Cuts, Altitude Music and Vibey.
