Petar Dundov LIVE in the Boiler Room x Dimensions

Having just released a brilliant new album called ‘Sailing Off The Grid’, synthesizer wizard Petar Dundov is back stronger than ever. Having mastered the art of the arp and the droning, slow-burning madness he’s so well known for, Petar is slowly becoming a legend of his own. Being asked to fill a prime time spot at this year’s edition of the unique Labyrinth festival in Japan, which is a pretty big deal when you know the organization’s arduous programming philosophy, confirmed his status once more. 

We witnessed the Croatian artist’s amazing gig at Studio 80, Amsterdam earlier this year and just had to ask him to contribute to the SEKOIA Podcast series. And so he did. With his philosophical take on music, taking not only the musical structures but the idea behind his music to other dimensions besides time and space, our expectations were high to say the least. Petar has delivered an intense podcast. An uptempo journey through crooked stabs, quirky arps, melancholical strings and hypnotic rhythm. You can feel his passion flowing through the very soundwaves of this recording. 

You often hear artists speak about taking their audiences on a journey with their track selection. Petar Dundov is one of the few actually able to achieve this kind of musical involvement. He’ll be playing Studio 80 again on the Thursday of this year’s ADE, go and see him. -FJ

A Fragmented edit of the Resident Advisor rooftop party at Hotel Diagonal, during the 20th annual SONAR in Barcelona, Spain.

'DE9 Fragments' is a series of fragmented audio edits based upon my live DJ set recordings. Each one will attempt to capture the feeling and direction of the night, giving those who were there a reminder of the events they experienced while giving those who were not present a fragmented distortion of what they missed.
